autotek ni cap ayam. hard atau soft bass mau tengok tuning. semua pun boleh jadi hard atau soft, mau tuning aje.

ahha bro i org baru nak berjinak2 dalam system sound nie.sebab kawan ada cakap2 autotek kuat kono tapi tak pastilah.

u masih student, kan? kalaumau main SPL dan budget tak banyak, cuba brand macam mohawk, agako, pegasus dan amerion. kalau ada budget, cuba brand macam kicker, rockford fosgate, MTX, Audiobahn, JL Audio, Earthquake, JBL GTi series dan lain lain lagi. aku suggest jangan ambil autotek, get something more decent for a peace of mind. ICE is neva a cheap hobby.

character of the bass is depending on crossover point, and design of box. preamp has nothing to do with it. actually some cheap pre amp will make the sound worse. ameron banyak orang guna untuk main SPL di m'sia. i tak pernah cuba, pernah dengar aje. aku main SQ sekarang. habis habis hentam bass sudah bosan. macam video di bawah ni, system SQ, sedap didengar...

ok, sorri, autotek not ayam brand... but i neva came in to contact with this brand, so no comment. i think their sister brands r better like MB Quart and HiFonics.

if autotek 10 years ago, at best is only low to mid range brand....not cap ayam, but cap kambing la....

if its new, high chance its china made using the same name, thats what they do nowadays, use old US names that are not yet registered trademark in china

haha, bro... i admit i'm brand conscious. honestly to me, autotek is cap ayam. to others, it might be cap kambing or lembu or even hi end. u may say i'm arrogant but there's no wrong voicing out my opinion. just like ppl buying shirt, some say zara damn gud d, while to some others zara is nothing, they onli get satisfied with stuffs like CK, DKNY, Hugo Boss and etc. back to ICE, ppl dat uses Audison Thesis might think dat DLS & PPI is cap ayam to them dat desn't worth to take a look. i'm not stopping ppl to buy ayam brand, we play according to our budget, i just recommend not to touch cap ayam cos i think it's a waste of time and money. everything comes down to personal preferences and budget in the end.
to finalize this, autotek is still cap ayam to me.

being brand conscious is fine... at least u know u are getting some quality stuff as we strive to acheive something better or to quote someone else is to reach audio nirvana. However, like the discussion in mycarhifi, it is only part of the whole system. I will say this again, ur eyes can and will trick u to believe something 'imaginary good sound' with high end stuff. Why not ckmoy u take a challenge. Gather a few amps and do a blind a/b comparison.Try it. Use ur dls tube + Mid End + High End + Low End in a blind testing. Its fun doing it, it will be even better when u can identify which sound comes from 'high end' or 'mid end' or 'low end'. Until then, ur only 'seeing' sound with ur eyes.

well, i dun mind trying all the test u mentioned. but i dun have the money, time and effort to do it. first of all, blind AB test is u dunno wats in the system, meaning others will install for u, question who? installation and listening alwez takes time, question when? buying all those stuffs need money, question how? so i rather take my chances with branded ones as i can 'see', 'touch' and definitely 'hear' them once the tuning is right which will be done sooner or later, rather than having a entry/mid end system, where u need to almost twist ur head off to get the best out of it. of course if we can afford better stuffs, we will go for it.
