yeah, we all got procs. funny thing though, i met most people who got X4s, but i heard from one of the organizers that there were 200 x2s and only 50x4s. which kind of doesnt compute with the hard data we're seeing today.

aha, i just remembered some stories for after the party.

good news, my monitor was is working, despite having the psu part cracked to oblivion and some major plastic cracks on the casing. looks like modding time! turned out the problem was the stupid power cable. sucks balls.

i wasnt sleepy as we left, but the heavy rain + slight drowsiness made me stop on the side of the highway after getting lost on my way out of cyber. so i stopped at a rest stop, slept for 3 hours, woke up and drove home. only to sleep for another 18 hours

oh yeah, apparently the event got around 60k views online as it was being streamed. hurray us!

there were times i forgot where i was, and even times when i forgot the time. like i was sitting outside during a break with franky and shah from eclub at around 11pm on saturday, then 5am when they approached me to talk about the mini tourney to be held at that time i was like "ITS 5 ALREADY???!!!"

finally though i never touched my sims 2 T_T just couldnt get into the zone to play it. cod4 and tf2 was my lifeblood that night, it kept me awake

lol, there's no point for us to do that unless someone else tries to steal our record (which is possible, in fact i heard some rumours bout our neighbours in the south, but nothing concrete yet). if CF2010 is a lepak kind of thing i dont mind, but definitely must coordinate a little better on the side of the participants, we brought loads of games that we never played like BF2, BF2142. unless we memang set to tf2 and l4d and cod4 all teh way

btw, have you guys been around the web? seen all those whiners complaining about how they spend 4days or 5days at other lan parties and not getting recognized, especially on CyberFusion related articles? sad bunch of losers, is what i'd say. they don't know nothing about the requirements we had (no time for sleep, 5 min breaks per hour) but act all super. i thought it was a myth that the net was full of retards, but just like the fact that there are no girls on the net (=X) this one also seems to have some truth to it

for the sake of our local organizers starting at 1000ppl or less would be a good step as it was, with the 300 at cyberfusion, we still had issues with some idiots torrenting, and some idiots not vaccinating their PCs before coming and the last issue would be the net access and the networking.

a bit of organizing would be very beneficial, in terms of people knowing which games to bring and such (especially since there won't be any regulations stating that you absolutely MUST be playing a game at any given time, since no records are being attempted )

if we really want to do something like this, we should probably look at some examples like the ones mentioned, and try to emulate it and see how it works with the local crowd, and then adapt it to suit our needs.

i would definitely second the entry tickets, probably using a format like the one they use at i3x or any of the other big ones. and you're right, considering that the local gaming scene is in a stage of infancy with regards to massive lan parties, the less people the better.

for all we know though, this might be exactly what they're planning for CF2010. that would definitely be awesome ne
