That's a pic though... found quite a few of those. (Usually focused on the Alienware) QUOTE(wanvadder @ Apr 13 2009, 10:53 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « TIDO TIDO TIDO TIDO TIDO! I would like to state that the shot was taken AFTER the 40 hour mark was passed. We were zoned out on our chairs waiting for the VIP to show up... QUOTE(bun.Mygo @ Apr 14 2009, 06:28 AM) Lol... in case u guys wondering who I am, well, I'm dat psycho that was counted as the oldest player in the LAN party (nice write-up by NST here). Damn, you beat me by 2 years. (BTW I was one of those whose setups was part of the gamer rig competition. Was there more than 1 winner?) Ah well, I expect I'll be trying to break this record again when I'm 80.... by then it will probably be 200+ hours... ... GAME ON! This post has been edited by leode: Apr 15 2009, 02:05 PM

QUOTE(Aura @ Apr 15 2009, 02:10 PM) I think there's more than 1 winner but both of us don't get any.... Coz that one is more on gaming experience based on ur peripherals.... If gaming experience was part of the equation, then I think your guitar should have won a few points no? All I had in that area was the N52.

QUOTE(Aura @ Apr 15 2009, 05:35 PM) LOL!!! Mobo crossfire... No SLi support... Tak cun la.... Mau dua dua pun ada mah.... I was just looking at my old EVGA GeForce 7950 GX2 SLI. ..maybe I should go back to old single monitor use. The 7950 may be old, but still has good horsepower... better check compatible mobo - 1st gen SLI cards have bad support. Eh - are you doing your steam L4D right now? ... I think my Steam Cyberfusion account still works. I want to try 1Khp Zombies as well. This post has been edited by leode: Apr 15 2009, 05:42 PM

This guy: QUOTE(bun.Mygo @ Apr 14 2009, 06:28 AM) YO! YO! YO! WHUDDUP LOW YAT PEEEPSSS!! LOL!Lol... in case u guys wondering who I am, well, I'm dat psycho that was counted as the oldest player in the LAN party (nice write-up by NST here). You can check my story at my Facebook page here (dun worry, no keylogger there. lol). Add me in man. <3 2 get 2 no u all better. I am in the midst of preparing a player experience report for the media, sponsors and organizers. Would love to hear your side of the story of what happened and try and come up with a fair and balanced report of the event from a player's perspective. Compiling info from this forum and multiplay and spotgamers comments section. Polls, e-mails and comments are welcome. Hmmm.. mebbe the admin can help create a topic for me and sticky this so that everyone's voice is heard? Thanks! So yeah, like he said, he's looking for people to add into his player experience report.

1,000 to start with is overly ambitious.
Start small, work from there.
Try with just 100... or even 80. The networking issues that come up should prove educational. Location, Lines, Logistics... many issues need to be dealt with. Not forgetting, there is the financial consideration. Funding needs to come from somewhere and sponsors are hard to get these days. Entry tickets may be required. You may even find the cost to exceed simply booking a cybercafe.

The maximum saved up time was only 1 hour though.
For us, you could have combined all the 5 minute breaks into a single 3 hour (and 15 minute - but the 15 minute is pointless) break if you wanted.
Theoretically, you could have played for 36 hours, taken a 3 hour nap and then come back for the last hour. Or as it was, 35 hours, almost 3 hour nap and then come back only to discover that we were going on for 2 extra hours.

In my case, I spent a total of 13 minutes of my accumulated time. (So yeah, had 3 hours remaining)
I never intended to take a nap anyway and simply wanted to minimize my break time. There was even once when the invigilator exclaimed:
"1 minute!??"
I just smiled back and shrugged.

That and most people weren't playing L4D that much.
Whenever I walked around, the games I saw most frequently being played were WoW or DotA.
And yes, the food issue was a sticker for me, I was not told that I would get a Phenom so that was a nice surprise, but I was expecting to be fed Pizza and KFC during the event!

QUOTE(Axell @ May 13 2009, 11:57 PM) A much more pertinent observation. Proving that on the web, not all women are men and all little girls are FBI agents. Then again, she's not technically on the internet!

Yeah, I've been killed by Eve about a thousand times. (Probably an exaggeration, actual number likely to be between 500 and 800)

.. I recall in TF2 he was screaming "Go B... all go B" .. and I was sitting there with my minigun spinning (and of course a good doctor behind me) and he goes "Crap, go A... too many at B.. go A fas fas.."
LOL
