hi all,

I have a lot of albums (mainly from ocremix) that are in mp3 vbr format. Their sound quality is quite good when play it using my PL30 on my computer. But when I put it into my iphone 3g, the SQ degraded so much that even wooden ear like me can notice.... it is quite disappointing...

are there any settings in iTunes or iphone that can actually maintain the sound quality of MP3 VBR when put into iphones?

my other mp3s with 192 or 320k sounded good enough on my 3g. but just these vbr files, especially their bass, are tremendously weakened. is it because of the AAC conversion?

i not really a pro in AAC conversion but, i can say that AAC really weakened your music. i not sure (once read b4), VBR where it only take the important bitrate of the music and discard other less important to create a compress music.

up to now, using mp3 with 320k compression still the best for me.

yeah...... my 320k and 192k convert to AAC is fine. Heck, even my VBR is actually quite good on PC before putting it onto iphone. but after the conversion.......... is OMFG.
