Anyone know any retail outlets / shops that already have retina MBP cases / bags?
Would love to try them out before I buy. |

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Aug 4 2012, 04:06 AM) Just got an OEM clear case for my rmbp. Even with the case top and bottom on, it's still thinner than 1 finger bro, mind telling where/who you got it from and for how much? am on the lookout for one as well. thanks! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(nles @ Aug 9 2012, 01:36 PM) Anyone got screen protector for their retina yet? when I use my laptop to show client they always use their finger poke on the screen which I hate As long as they don't use their nails to scratch, should be fine. There is a glass-coating anyway on the rMBP, and I doubt it is easily scratched. |

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Aug 15 2012, 01:14 AM) Moshi PalmGuard and iVisor Pro for RMBP is out!! Wonder if the iVisor Pro's anti-glare will distort the clarity of the Retina Display. Am quite interested in one. http://store.moshimonde.com/palmguard-15-unibody-retina.html http://store.moshimonde.com/ivisor-pro-15-retina.html |

QUOTE(CPURanger @ Aug 15 2012, 11:51 AM) Anyone use a macbook pro stand here ? Can recommend one ? I used to have the mStand by Rain Design. Regret selling it off. Now missing it as I want to build a desktop setup with my rMBP. I find difficult to adjust my sitting/posture position using a RMBP. Unfortunately the seat is not adjustable. Have been a desktop guy for a very long time, now adjusting to use RMBP full time. Might be going down to Singapore next month. Is it cheaper to get RMBP accessories from Singapore and where is the best place to look for it ? Thanks in advance. QUOTE(BRY7 @ Aug 15 2012, 02:59 PM) thats my main concern as well. Wow. Seriously the coating can actually come off ah bro? my older mbp's coating came off and produced static charges when in contact with my arm I thought it's quite durable.. Ok now I think I 'must' get a palm guard d. |

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Aug 15 2012, 10:23 PM) Wah seriously? I just check my old MBP, all the clips still there, holding firmly to my MBP. How come your clips "self-destructed" wor I checked for reviews before I purchased the Speck Satin SeeThru for my 2011 MBA 13 and many complained of exactly the same thing as BRY7 experienced. However, there's really not much better choice in the market if you need a snap-on case for your Mac. |

QUOTE(BRY7 @ Aug 16 2012, 12:40 PM) one more disadvantage of having it on is it actually makes the MBP heavier if you notice. I'm using a third-party satin hard case for my rMBP while waiting for Speck's one to release in Msia.and much thicker, putting it on the rMBP would make it look like the cMBP Feels more safe with it on as I don't live alone. Don't want my wife to accidentally scratch my rMBP's exterior. |

QUOTE(llsphinxll @ Aug 30 2012, 11:05 PM) i wud actually prioritise a casing than a palmguard. when i first got a mbp few years back, i was wondering whether i shud get the palmguard. turns out simply cleaning the palm area every once in awhile is sufficient enough to make the palmguard area look 'clean'. perhaps it depends on how much your palm sweats. I somehow agree with you. I think the only time that my palm actually sweats is when I leave it constantly on the keyboard without resting, like on Dota 2. Other than that, I don't see it affect much. And the palmguard is really an eyesore on the beautiful rMBP / MBP. But of course with the palmguard, I don't have to remove my watch and chain every time I'm using my rMBP. |

QUOTE(llsphinxll @ Aug 31 2012, 01:18 PM) i only have a satin black on my mbp. i used to have a keyboard protector on my mbp keyboard. but i really hate it during 'compression'. like when you press on your keys, it doesnt feel 'natural'. anyone else understands this feeling hahha? To be frank, the 'compression' of the keyboard protector makes my rMBP's keyboard feel better actually, as the rMBP's keyboard key-travel is quite shallow. didnt use it after two days. now i use it when im transporting my wireless keyboard, or when im not using my wireless keyboard for awhile to prevent dust collection. But if compared to my previous cMBP 15 or my Apple Wireless Keyboard, those work better without the protector on. QUOTE(Edoras @ Sep 1 2012, 11:28 AM) Nice. I'm using the Notepal Infinite Evo now. Love how the aluminium look of the cooler matches my rMBP. QUOTE(superbworld @ Sep 1 2012, 09:46 PM) Indeed. Best build quality laptop in the world. QUOTE(BRY7 @ Sep 1 2012, 10:01 PM) Yeah. I've seen just too many MBA / MBP which has their aluminium top cover scratched and it looks awful. QUOTE(ClericKilla @ Sep 2 2012, 02:41 PM) ok gonna find in mudah now. ejioux mind sharing how you clean your palm type area? now i so scared dirty my rmbp i type never touch the palm area now .. Actually, I'm quite curious. The cMBP's palmguard size is different than the rMBP? As I have seen some people online said they can use cMBP palmguard on their rMBP. |

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Sep 2 2012, 05:28 PM) It doesn't matter where the vents are, since aluminium itself is a heatsink unlike plastic cheapo windows laptops. When the aluminium gets hot, it will easily cool when a fan is place near it, vital if you like to game a lot on you Mac which can cause the components to go scorching hot - as you don't want your Mac to have permanent damage due to heat. |

QUOTE(Edoras @ Sep 3 2012, 10:22 PM) ![]() Taken from Machines Facebook. RM 129 I am thinking of getting one of these. Anyone have seen what colors available? From what bro BRY7 said about it, the quality is terrible. I did check the product out when I was at MacStudio but didn't fancy it. Plus, they only have the non-matte version which is prone to scratches. |

QUOTE(Xirality @ Sep 8 2012, 02:10 AM) Very nice. Gonna wait til they have more colour options such as blue before getting one.Already using a third-party black satin case which is like 99% similar to Speck's satin. |

QUOTE(beelze_gpwk @ Sep 8 2012, 12:12 PM) putting on the speck case will reduce the heat transfer of macbook? since it covers the whole aluminium body with the cover... just wondering Yes, it certainly will but it's not too bad on the MacBook Pro Retina Display since there are dedicated dual air-intake inlets and a single dedicated exhaust outlet. The cMBP has the same design minus the dual air-intake inlets so it should be alright as well.If you are on MacBook Air, then definitely not recommended as there are no air intake / exhaust ports. I did put Speck on my MacBook Air 13" before and it heated up considerably. Not recommended unless you are in aircon environment most of the time or you really want to take care of your MacBook Air like a baby. This post has been edited by shockk: Sep 8 2012, 12:27 PM |

QUOTE(mr11 @ Feb 20 2013, 01:39 AM) Beautiful cover bro! What size does it fit to? 13"? 15"? MBA or MBP? And mind telling how much and where you got it? Interested. QUOTE(eternity4av @ Mar 2 2013, 07:42 PM) any hope to recover this? didn't noticed when i got this scratch mark, it's specs seethru satin cover anyway. That's what I hate about Satin covers, looks nice until you get scratches on them. And it's really easy to get scratched! Rather use my Mac naked. |

QUOTE(Xirality @ Jun 3 2013, 12:58 AM) Yes, definitely. When I was using a MacBook Air 13" previously, the heat had increased quite noticeably as the aluminium itself is supposed to act as a heat sink. The problem won't be that bad for MacBook Pros which have dedicated exhaust vents, though. Anyhow, the additional heat won't affect much unless you are constantly playing games or running CPU / graphics intensive applications with it. |
