Ive gone through golla backpacks before and it seems that its ok for normal usage but if you want it to protect your macbook from rough conditions then maybe its not really suitable as the padding i find it not really enough for my preference of protection. It depends on you. You can go search around and get a feel before buying them.
Im using the black speck satin for my MBP with alienware orion backpack =) Very nice combo =)

Np maybe you can try searching for those meant for rough sports such as bikers backpacks etc... There are more rugged and tough built... and of course water proof =)

Why bag are not made waterproof? Many of those sports back are made waterproof and most of the backpacking bags are waterproof. Some provide another waterproof cover just to cover the bag. So there are many bags that are waterproof.

Yea why not.... Apple doesnt have a suitable brand that specifically use for apple products.. Its up to users preference for the design and details. All laptop backpacks are suitable for any laptops including apple... =) Yeah Lowyat should have and maybe some of the apple stores does bring in targus backpacks too..

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ May 11 2010, 04:29 PM) Waterproof means if it drop inside 10feet of water also everything inside stay dry? I think its possible but hard. If you take it that way then I have nothing so say. People would understand waterproof backpacks are meant to use when they got caught in the rain/got water spills etc and not dropping your backpack 10 feet inside the water.

Even Belkin can be considered in your list. Not to mention sports backpacks like Nike, Adidas etc... Many choices to choose from and its 13" so most bags will definitely fit it nicely.

RM400.... Its a very good and cool looking backpack. Worth every penny spent on it. Basically I can travel around with that backpack with 3 days supply of stuff like clothing etc including my laptop.. Its huge and not really heavy when you carry it on your shoulders.

Most people go crazy on crumpler backpacks... Try reading the early pages of this thread... Most of them keep on recommending crumpler backpacks. Might be a good choice since many ppl are crazy over them =)

Oh ok... Just make sure when you get it and when try zipping it up try to check if the zips will scratch your MBP in case its too tight.. I prefer to get one size bigger for sleeves or make sure its not 100% tight fitting.. =)

According to dvlzplayground as he use it before on his MBP... He said its ok.... But for me Im not using it as I have a bad experience with my iPhone which also uses the IS... Had dirty particles/dusts stuck at the edge of the sticker and it can turn yellow if its exposed to heat as my iPhone was hot during calls and it slowly turned yellow at the back side of the phone and I can see it clearly as mine was white...
But Maybe MBP maybe differ from iPhone as iPhone you keep in your pocket and stuff... Shouldnt be a problem since a forumer experienced it before..

Yeap the IS tends to turn yellow when it gets a lot of heat =)... And yea dust will tend to stick at the edges... Same problem as my iPhone but of course my iPhone is far worse cause I bring it everywhere =) So its still up to you guys... But of course it does looks good as though as its naked but with protection =)..
Yea accident does happen but of course we still have to be careful... =)... Like my iPhone I think i dropped it only about less than 5 times for 2 years now... Touchwood la of course... =)
