QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Oct 31 2009, 12:21 AM) @llsphinxll, According to the foodshop.com website, the postage charges aren't combine-able; that sux I know cause we were both hoping to save on shipping. Haven't heard of fabrix but am checking out their website as I type this; looks quite nice but am not too sure about the padding; and I don't like the velcro thingy *grins* And, it's sis PS: I just checked out the website; it's not cheap there either. For the kinda price, I prefer to go with foofshop.com oh haha sorry sis. yeah was hoping to combine shipping. mm but i think the price for fabrix and foof are pretty much the same. yeah foof does look more comfy for the laptop to b in it, just wish they had more design. but i really like the tsunami. the problem is, how to buy.hmm but i think including shipping and everything (hopefully no tax) it wud b approx rm150 for a laptop sleeve. killa! and fabrix corp offers personal customization for just any device and any measurement. and can add zips and pouches on the sides.

@llsphinxll, Yup not cheap but in paying the same prices, I rather get something of quality than something er customised. Looks like I've to visit PC Fair to see if there are any good deals on sleeves available

The sleeves I bought from etsy.com arrived already. One is fit with mbp 13 with thick protection. The other One rather thin in cushion and loose.

Try something like Incase Neoprene Sleeve? The sleeve is thick and fluffy inside.

I wonder if those Samsonite bags over in Parkson KLCC would be a
good carrying bags for the Macbook Pros. Saw, those 13.3" and 15" and
they're quite well-built, but the price tag is killing me. Would love to purchase them though.

@Kernkraft400, I've a friend using a Samsonite and she's loving it; you're right it does get a bit pricey. I've also seen them at luggage shops; Wings.

The Samsonite laptop carrying bag for the 13.3" which i saw the other day,
costs about RM550 if i am not mistaken. I would recommend buying them on holiday
seasons where discounts would usually kick in.

This is the page http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage...oduct_Id=399512I have one of these and it cost around RM100. Very elaborate padding all round and you'll be surprised how slim and compact it is. Inner sole material is plush and looks like microfibre to protect laptop from scratches.

Getting Started

|
QUOTE(davidmak @ Oct 30 2009, 11:13 PM) I finally found a sleeve that is suitable for my MBP13 this evening. Its from Case Logic and they have new precision sleeves specially made for the MacBook 13". Price is RM90 (Midvalley). I like the inner feature where they have linings to protect the MacBook from scratches originating from the zip. As you zip the sleeve close, the linings will move together to cover the MacBook and protect additional side impact protection. Here's the product page: http://www.caselogic.com/13_macbook_laptop...?modelid=120446yday i saw the same case at machinese 1utama cost RM108 le... david where u saw the RM90 1 at midvalley? shop ar?

Yes, from the shops at 2nd Floor near the bridge connection to Gardens. I'm liking the case very much because of the material. Its neoprene and the inner side is similar to microfibre. It fits my MBP13 just nice and tight. At first, it doesn't seem to fit but after some stretching its just nice. The product is designed especially for MBA and MBP13. They also have larger ones for 15.4". No 17" in sight though.

@terencetoo, Am not sure if it's cheaper; probably about the same price but Parkson does give u back RM10 vouchers for RM120 spend [or was it RM150] so if u take that into account it should be cheaper *smiles*

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Nov 1 2009, 08:54 PM) do you guys know any good looking, reasonably-priced sleeve that has a handle? Maybe you can try Tuscano. They're pretty slim and can house the laptop and a charger. They do have pockets here and there for your memory cards, cd, whatever. Most importantly it has a handle which I'm sure you'll appreciate. Price is around RM200+.
