Yes, it certainly will but it's not too bad on the MacBook Pro Retina Display since there are dedicated dual air-intake inlets and a single dedicated exhaust outlet. The cMBP has the same design minus the dual air-intake inlets so it should be alright as well.
If you are on MacBook Air, then definitely not recommended as there are no air intake / exhaust ports. I did put Speck on my MacBook Air 13" before and it heated up considerably. Not recommended unless you are in aircon environment most of the time or you really want to take care of your MacBook Air like a baby.
