I would like to get a bag for 17" MBP. My current bag cannot fit it. It is quite hard to find a bag for this notebook.

Do you have any recommendation?

Thank you.

I'm a hardcore Crumpler fan , for 1 reason toughness.

If you dont mind paying an exclusive price , then go for Crumpler.

If not better look at other options smile.gif

Go have a look at KLCC/Pavilion branches for your options..

Just came back from Bangkok bought a laptop sleeve for my rmbp.

Apparently it is for Macbook pro classic but i've used it for Retina MBP. 10% more space inside only not so tight but i think this case incase is for airport use. Does not harm laptop when go through scans.

Here are some of the image i took with iphone,

Not incase laptop sleeve but when i purchase my sleeve it does put the feature of "Airport Friendly" threw the paper already but before i bought this case i also research about retina macbook pro case. Found another brand as well.

http://www.incipio.com/MacBook-Pro-15in-wi...lay-Sleeves.asp

You see it's feature.

QUOTE
Rushing through the airport with your MacBook Pro 15in? Make sure to have a QuickCheck to ward off the dangers of airport security checks. Use this CheckPoint Friendly case through screening while your MacBook Pro 15in stays protected from damages throughout the airport screenings."

maybe what he meant was prevent scratches and such when going through the airport scan. you need to take the notebook out of the bag when you go through the scan check...

I just came back from Bangkok just now. Security asked me take out my laptop as well. Not sure la experince differs from others,

Yet again when you asked the questions "Does screening harms your computer"
I cannot give you the exact answer yet but according to some people it says that xray disturb some magnetic components on your computer affecting it, you can try google the question on it.

Some people did mentioned wont harm some mentioned, i not sure also.

But if that case is selling out with the feature maybe its true screening does harm.. ?

well, yahoo answers says no (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100309083905AAcRih8). i still believe the sleeve is to protect it from scratches when it goes through the scanner and also it will not hamper the scanner from 'seeing' inside. maybe some sleeves will prevent the x-ray from 'seeing' inside.

When you google dont just stick to one source of infomation, i did mentioned i cannot give you exact answer also.
I read a few 2-3 websites some like yahoo also said no it doesnt, some i read like

http://www.ehow.com/about_6309080_airport-...-computers.html

This website however states Xray is not but metal detector is.
Then again i read some testimony http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/56734-35...-damage-battery

Nothing happened to my laptop so far i've been travelling but just got this new case with "Airport Friendly" feature got me to learn more about it.

So hopefully it does not really harm computer la maybe its the old technology i also dont know but if theres these type of case exist it might mean it does protect your computer through screening.

Yea, KLCC and Pavilion no match. Go check out their departments .. so gooding esp the gadget zone but price there all no sense one. Sometimes can get it cheaper from US, guess it's just marketing way.. LOL

Got many nice INCASE bags there must go see!
