Hi everyone, i am new to here, hope can get fast response from expert in recording

what i want to ask is i just bought a pickup for my acoustic guitar, i tried to line in it into my pc by line in jack from motherboard but no sound is coming out, or got a bit "pop pop" sound ..
so the problem is
1. Does the motherboard sound chip (Realtek ALC1200) do not support the line in from the pickup?
2. Do i need some 3rd party software to make it work?
3. Does any after market sound card can support it?
My purpose is to line in directly from the pickup into PC, without any amp involved
if my motherboard sound chip problem, pls suggest a after marker sound card that can make it, thx

erm the line in should be able to pickup the signal from your guitar.

have u double checked the output from your guitar first?

If it's not battery-operated, it wont work. Somethin about the mini stereo jack not capable of carrying enough electricity.

the line out have no problem, as it work perfectly on a hi-fi system..

so hows it now?
coz me also just have my accoustics guitar but dont know how to connect it to myPC using what n how...
plz guys post a respond...
