raven? i think its definitely the casing imho.

u need to have cool air (preferably from the front, or bottom in ur case) directed to the GC's heatsink fan AND have a fan to exhaust the GC's hot air (usually at the side panel area)

basically need intakes and exhaust specifically for the GCs

should help to cool down the temps.

the rear exhaust isnt specific for GCs. more like a general exhaust like normal cases. ur gonna need intake and exhaust specifically for the GCs.

eitherway...theres no need for tri-card setup since ur only running 1080p. actually i think single card oso should be able to.

would recommend u to go tri card only if ur running 30" above like ianho and aura. otherwise its overkill imho.

I can off CrossFireX to see how games fare on a single 4890. On certain games, yes, one card is definitely enough. But on others, it isn't.

COD4/5, one card runs it perfectly fine.
FarCry2? You'll need 2 cards to really enjoy it.

But then again it depends on your tolerance towards lag.

I'm happy with my 2 cards, no regrets about it whatsoever. It didn't really cost me that much anyway, unlike gettting 2 GTX285s. Hell, even 3 4890s would have cost me less than 2 GTX285s, LOL.

wat kinda FPS u getting for COD4 on single card? and on dual card? (n wat reso oso)

wat other games do u play?

ur right...the proc aint crap....itll work fine with everything etc etc....

they just call it crap coz for the same amount of money u could get a significantly better processor like the E8400 for gaming.

especially since the number of games that utilizes muti-core now is minimal. most games benefit more from clock speed than number of cores.

I know the mobo has 4 PCIe slots, but would you actually fit 4 dual slot cards on it? My MSi Eclipse Plus has 4 slots too, but when a card is installed in the 3rd slot, it covers the 4th slot too, making it unusable.
*
some 9800GTs (like the Zotac im using) is a single slot card.

and hes using a Lian Li P80 which has 10 PCI slots so he has space...

the end result should look something like this on the mobo
