I think the tuition fee is about the same for they two as well, as for lecturers' strength, commitment etc.
The most important issue is probably the location, and perhaps whether which one has better links with industry (Oil and Gas) that can help you out to get into. Of course, you may not like O&G.
For accreditation wise, I think it's NOT really important for mechanical graduates in MALAYSIA. There are A LOT of mechanical engineers out there that is not accredited and also a lot of employers that do not care about your accreditation status.
If you are capable enough, I don't think you will be turned down by companies for the reason of your degree not being accredited.
That being said, I do think Swinburne will not have any problem in gaining accreditation. For me, it's just that the accreditation has yet to come.
