BEM ACCREDITATION FOR SWINBURNE ENGINEERING PROGRAMS

Okay guys , Those who are concerned with accreditation status of Swinburne Engineering Degrees ,

These degrees are accreditated by both Engineers Australia and Board of Engineers Malaysia

Bachelor of Engineering ( Mechatronics and Robotics )
Bachelor of Engineering ( Electronics and Computer Systems )

and all of those who are concerned with the status of rest of the Engineering degrees recognition with BEM , Board of Engineers Malaysia ,

This is the official reply from the Dean/Chief Executive of Swinburne University of Technology , Sarawak

Engineers Malaysia only gives professional accreditation to programs after the first group/batch has graduated. That accreditation will occur for the newer programs in October this year (2010). In the meantime, all of our degrees are accredited in Australia and have been accredited by Engineers Australia and are recognized all over the world. There is absolutely no doubt that Engineers Malaysia will add their accreditation for the newer programs as well. Both Australia and Malaysia are signatories to the Washington Accord on Engineering qualifications and therefore have reciprocal recognition.
