dear guru,
i bought Gamuda 5398 at 1.00+ and now is 2.40..can anyone advise on this?

i am long term investor n would not mind to keep if can reap more in a longer term.
believe its also a political related counter!

thanks
*
Alleady doubled your initial purchase price. You can consider to sell it or hold it for longer term. But no guarantee it will remain at 2.40. biggrin.gif

If I were you I will not touch BJCORP. Remember in early days, VTan told us to buy BJCORP. Al went in like mad then suddenly price drop until cannot see where. After that experience I dont touch VTan counter. Look at StemLife up and now where it is.

He is a businessman and he is trickier than us who try to outsmart and out think him. I am afraid most of us are not in his level.

Cheers. Just my word of caution.

Kind of agree.

When you buy shares, know who is behind the scene.

Whether they are able to support the counters constantly.

Many would just push the counters and say bye bye to you.

Then you have to wait for another, maybe 3 years.

They do not even want to you some small dividends.

anyone noticed that Vincent Tan & Goldman Sach start goreng-ing BJCORP? i believe BJCORP will stand above 90cents within 2-3 days.
*
The best time to buy the BJCORP share was before the goreng smile.gif Was there any rumors & news before that ? I seem to remember that BJ Land had some borrowings due. There was even talks that BJTOTO share will declare special dividend (causing BJTOTO price to go up) so that parent company can use dividend to "settle".

The recent spate of positive news like the Detroit Electric Car one seems to have whet the appetite of investors for Proton share. The Exora, PROTON's first foray into the MPV will further spur interest in this counter.

Buy buy I want to sell...just joking
Anyway when it was 1.50 range I saw it as an opportunity.

Used to be like 7-8 and now 1.50 and thats cheap, but overall automotive industry future looks not so good but whatever happens
The BN Gov will save it to save their face and that is a save investment for us.

According to info from "The Edge", KLCI is likely to scale momentarily higher before pausing to catch a breather in consolidating its recent gains. KLCI's overhead resistance is now revised to the 950-985 levels while its downside support is at 900-905.

It also addressed the hot topic about whether this is the start of a bull run or a bear trap. No conclusion as experts have different views. Guess we just have to wait for further upcoming data this week......

Hence the dilemma of whether to hold a bit longer or sell this week.... hmm.gif

Strangely that no more analysts are predicting market would hit 700 pts and below, unlike in Jan or March this year. biggrin.gif

have you heard anything so far this week ?

I guess it is due to improve sentiments and "encouraging" data that came out recently.

Here's what "The Edge" say about this:

QUOTE
The past two rallies in March and December last year dragged the index down to new lows. If the trend is repeated by the bears as expected, it could mean the likelihood of DJIA sinking below 6,000 points.

shocking.gif

Although the above fact has become unlikely (with all the stimulus packages flying around), I guess nobody knows. I think the next few week's data would be crucial in determining this......

Looking at the political situation, it seems like Malaysia is relatively more politically stable among the ASEAN and not yet in recession. Could this be a harbinger of more FF inflow to the market?

If 90% of the investors believe it is unlikely, then it may become unlikely.

If majority just wait and see, and do not want to buy anything, then it is likely.

Wow... very nice unrealized profit ady.. rclxms.gif
Mind share with us how long u bought and keep this share to reach this price?

Alot of research house call sell on Gamuda..like OSK, CIMB... most of them prefer switch to IJM.
GLC construction sector get boost from government...all went up...

If you feel theres room for Gamuda to go higher, maybe you can sell 30% or 50% 1st/ in stages and later sell the balance at a higher profit price.
All is up 2 u. brows.gif

I feel next week KLSE still can go up.. coz next Wednesday is the 1st Cabinet meeting.
IF US there no more shitting blood den okla... laugh.gif

I guess it would still depend on upcoming data. US data may show stabilization or improvement but I think our local data would still show deterioration? Anyway, my 0.2 cents only.....

If I had caught Gamuda at RM1.00+ (probably less than RM1.50?), I would probably hold it for long-term. The reason is because I don't think we can ever get that price range again.....

Anyway, @viper88, anything to goreng this week? drool.gif

Well, it depends the degree of transparency you have.

If you say GDP is growing by 0.1% for example, most people would think it is negative.

In the West or Singapore where there is a greater transparency. Even though your coming Q result may not be good, but you have reasons to foresee better future results, investors may see a chance to buy your co's shares if traded with big discounts.

So how you " see it " is as important.
