Earnings: With an estimated 10% of the S&P 500 having reported results so far, profits are on track to have shrunk 37.4% from a year ago, according to the latest from Thomson Reuters.

About 140 companies, or 28% of the S&P 500 report results this week. In focus Monday is Bank of America (BAC, Fortune 500), which releases its financial results before U.S. markets open.

Future start recover. Tomolo should be green.

Bank of America posted better-than-expected first-quarter earnings Monday, with the bank’s acquisition of Merrill Lynch adding more than $3 billion to the bottom line.

All these banks have been posting great results...thanks to the new accounting rules?

But nonetheless, it is somewhat 1/2 welcome 1/2 unwelcome...
1/2 welcome coz it will boost stocks...
1/2 unwelcome coz we all wanna buy!!! laugh.gif

Haha,

if you are waiting for CI to go back to 500pts.

Maybe have to wait for another 10 years ?

No harm to try, anyway.

Correct me if I am wrong.

There are a few billion profit due to one off gain by selling stake of China Construction Bank in the book.

While it reported increase of bad loan which is not welcomed or liken by the market.
