It's not crazy, I think they're doing gd for implementing this law. Imagine one day you're walking on the roadside, suddenly there's one fella jumping off from the building and hits you, then both of you die.... Still think they're not doing the rite thing?

What makes you so sure that people who condemn suicides don't know anything about depression? I was suffering from severe depression for 3 years and was under constant medication to control it. It was through sheer hard will that I finally manage to pull myself out of the hole that I dug for myself during those dark years. I admit the thought of suicide crossed my mind before but I kept telling myself that I will overcome it if I want to. I've lost so-called friends who didn't stood by me when I needed them the most and I am actually thankful to be rid of them because now I know what kind of 'friends' they are.

Don't presume anything. While I cannot answer for the others, I know first hand what it is like to be feel suffocated by a cloud of depression that's so bad that sometimes it makes one hard to breathe. Have you been through those kind of feelings before? Of despair that never seem to go away and everything around you just falls apart? I have and now 6 years later I've pulled myself out of it. Did I ever think of suicide? Yes. Did I attempted suicide? No. Not everyone who commits suicides suffers from depression. Don't generalize all suicides are people suffering from depression. I have talked to and meet people who suffers from desperation and befriended them and while some are still struggling with it, they have never resort or think of taking their lives.

If you notice, the suicides being committed nowadays are mostly by teenagers/young adults who broke up/dumped by their boyfriends/girlfriends. There was this case of a girl from Taiwan with a promising singing career who killed herself because her boyfriend left her for another girl. Another instance in Malaysia where a girl drank weed poison because her parents oppose of her relationship with her boyfriend. Another killed himself in the UK because his virtual girlfriend left him. Are you telling me those kind of suicides are not stupid? I am calling them stupid for killing themselves over something that is not worth dying for. I am not calling them stupid for doing it because of religious reasons. I have never believed the 'all suicides go to hell' thing but I do believe that one's life is worth more than a broken/soured relationship.

if kill someone (homicide) is wrong, then suicide is also wrong (killing him/herself). simple logic

Yeah, suicide is a coward act. But it's better if the person commit suicide rather then go out and be a robber or killer or any other criminal acts.
At least the liability has gone.

but the family of the suicide victim has to clean up the mess after the suicide, spend various expenses on the funeral etc.

That's why those people committed suicide.
They know that if they continue to live, they will end up doing robbery, killing, rapes and many more.
They had actually sacrificed their life for others..

i dun think its like dat...theres tons of reason dat lead to suicides le...most of the time these ppl are sad ..events such as dead of love ones,bankruptcy,family problems, etc...they felt dat cant contribute to the society liao or nothing to hope for liao then they stick a mechanical pencil on their throat and die ...opss .. but the point is if the person have a strong faith they wont do dat...coz on the other side more suffering awaits...the shinigami will come to take you first...

most of the time i guess people cant cross over one of his life's obstacle, people who almost commit suicide but didn't later most realised how stupid he was.
