using a proxy, we can get full speed. but using a non proxy, its back to snail speed. why is it like that? if the cables are really affected, shouldn't the speed be teh same if using proxy or not.....

It's a routing problem. If you try to use a Singapore VPN to visit China or US websites, you also feel faster than original connection. smile.gif

I worte an email to them regarding to slow international links last week and in the past days they called me several times.
Yesterday they called me again to tell me that they would send a technician to my house tomorrow.
I know the issue can't be solved by such a visit. But I still wanna see what kind of explanations the technician will give me.

You know what he's gonna tell you?
Since you are complaining about slow international link, he'll give you the T&C saying TM is responsible for local sites only, not international links.

Then off he go.
That's true Malaysian style!  rclxms.gif

In the email that I wrote to them and during the conversations with them,I always mentioned that it's about slow international links. So even if they won't do anything after the visit,it's ok.I will keep on disturbing them.To send out emails is not so hard to me,right? tongue.gif

Don't talk about downloading...even normal surfing Internet is still a big issue...Luckily I have my own Singapore VPN server,so I can now surf the foreign websites smoothly...

Did you try to use other range of IP?I could get several different range of IP.such as 60.50.,60.51,60.54.

IP range 60.54 is very bad connecting to my Singapore VPN server,Ping time is over 300ms.

Owever, once I get 60.50/60.51,ping to my VPN server is only 12-15ms.Connecting with VPN to ping to some big China/Hong Kong websites,it's only around 100ms. smile.gif

Hopefully you could get your solution asap.
