Student like me, who can't afford premium account of Rapidshare or Megaupload will suffer like hell. Speed I can get only 3-2kbps which is NONSENSE!! If you want to know why you got local high pings, try ping your own ISP website for example tmnet.net.my and see the result, if high ping for everage means that you have problem with your locations, line or it could be somewhere else, your modem or your line or both...

I have to advice you that the 218 IP is nothing better than the others and you should stick with your normal ranges for the time being. Although I'm not a gamer, I know that gamers need consistence, low ping times with no packet loss. This IP has no good charateristics at all. Also, this IP has been going downhill since it was given to 4Mbps users, u can check at 4Mbps users thread here : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/458185/+1400

I did not ask for the IP, although i was wishing for it. I was given a call from Mr.Shamshul?(sorry, i didn't not get exact spelling) of TM today saying that they have done something to my account and require me to disconnect and reconnect again (in regard to my complaint) and that they will be monitoring performance on their side and try to make improvements to their service. I did so and found out the new IP range I'm locked into. It's even worse than 124.82 in my area (Kota Damansara) because it has very high packet loss even to LOCAL routes which 124 range did not have.

But even their "Premium ip" is fouled up! I will test this IP for a few days, if there is no improvement i will send emails and call those departments again to report on the slow LOCAL connection and also on behalf of all the users in the "Premium IP".

Only TM replied me by e-mail & MCMC replied me by email once only, the rest of the communications are by phone, sorry.

Even now TM has stop emailing but calls me instead. There was a thread created by me on TM's replies tho if u search deeper in this forum...

Dont worry u can raise the issue to this new government, they are always willing to help. Even MCMC, so far dealings with them are very smooth and to the point. Ask them help u and HELP TM solve their problems, yes HELP TM. But still, for now it looks like no matter where u are or what IP you are on, its the same.
