Actually what I meant to say was, the videos itself do load fine, just the stuff around the page isn't loading fully. As for speed of the video, it is not buffering for me right now, and I am on 124.13.*

Well I'll take a wild stab in the dark and say it hasn't been repaired since we're still getting ridiculous speeds

Sabah, KK, Luyang.
I've swapped from the now 124.13.* which used to be fast about a week or so ago but is now slow. 118.101.* is now fast for me, 118.100.* = siput babi. I haven't checked 124.82.* nor 115.132.* today cos I can't be bothered since I don't want to lose my current connection |

Gah, had to swap back over to 124.13.* because 118.101.* blocks places like demonoid.

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Apr 11 2009, 12:03 PM) Don't know as well why that is. For the longest time I remember being stuck on a particular ip, then it kept on swapping and now I usually get 5 different ranges and sometimes although rarely 1 extra one but never on the 60 range anymore hehe. My other friends in kk don't seem to get my range either. |

Torrents are fluctuating, some sites are slow or don't load still, http downloads vary - either they work well or they just die halfway.

Hm, service went down for me around 12:05pm, and got back around 12:28pm. This time I was able to connect and reconnect as many times as I wanted without the reconnection attempts throttled. Not entirely sure if everything is back to fast speeds yet like other people have been getting and I still can't access lots of international sites and if they do load it is slow.
PS - it's getting harder to get my ideal ip at the moment PPS - line went down at 12:44pm and back on at 12:49pm. Update: Ok wow now all the slow loading sites are loading fast/faster including video streaming sites like vimeo. Soundclick still loads slow like shit though. Ok, since around 9pm the connections have gone real bad again. And I mean everything is bad. I'm lucky I was able to even post this.
Update: Ok, looks like reconnecting a few times helped. Or maybe not. International down again. This post has been edited by Salamander: Apr 24 2009, 11:00 PM |

Line: 2048/512
Snr: 23/24 [dB] Line attenuation: 40/21.5 [dB] Torrents: 80kB/s (I was getting 100+ earlier, but the torrent has a lack of seeds which might explain that, they seem to be doing ok - at least I know it's better than what most people are facing at the moment so this one at the moment is giving me the least problems.) Rapidshare: 11kB/s Mediafire: 8kB/s Sourceforge: in the bps Freedesktop.org: 16 kBps irc: Efnet is fine, Undernet was finally connectable this week, Dalnet has been unreachable since the 28th of April (tried all the us and eu servers). PSN store: 40-60kB/s PSN Network: connectable. Have not tried playing any games. Youtube: a little wonky, either it loads fast or refuses to contact the video server so kinda 50/50. Steam: connectable. Have not tried playing any games. Hamachi: connectable. Have not tried playing any games. ftp.gnu.org: 16 kBps ftp.gwdg.de: 19 kBps That's all I've tested for now. The problem I am most encountering atm is the routing issue. It's hideous. |

Pinging youtube-ui.l.google.com [74.125.19.113] with 32 bytes of data:

Would be nice if I was loading youtube from the 2nd ip but unfortunately I seem to be assigned a different one for youtube, at least everytime I ping it anyway. |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ May 1 2009, 10:42 AM) The other area users still experiencing the idiotic snail-like speed...Is not just bangi and kelana jaya Agreed. Whenever any place in Malaysia is undergoing maintenance I am always affected despite calling up customer service and asking them to which they reply my area is not affected (but of course it is). So for me it's always an ongoing thing at the beginning, middle, and end of the month. Pretty sad. |

QUOTE(tech3910 @ May 4 2009, 09:07 PM) Care to enlighten the rest of us what dirty tricks tmnet are up to atm (I mean besides the obvious routing issues/p2p throttling/etc)? Is this according to the technician? |

QUOTE(tech3910 @ May 4 2009, 09:46 PM) the thing is, its not an issue, its by purpose. So basically nothing new then... same as what was already obviously going on from before. I was hoping for some new insider info.as u might notice, the slow problem started in march, exactly the same time wen the cable went down. on the same time, tm stated to reroute & also filtering. notice dat some people got changes in ip range. tm r reserving those nice ip for pppoa user (fixed ip). generally speaking, dey r reserving those bandwidth for companies & cooperate & abandon home user. & also, dey r working on sometime in their server, so caled upgrading. dey admit dat there is something wrong, even dey ping on their cyberjaya server, many packets lost. & yes, tm r making some "maintenence/upgrade", but there no fix date on wen it will b done. all these thing is controlled by higher management. dats y recently, c see some crazzyness in ping. sometimes ping google also many packets lost, sometime youtube < 100ms. i'm guessing they r rerouting, like i said, reserving nice ip for pppoa. the different is obvious. the technician demonstrated in front of me. downloading a file from download.com 1st, dynamic ip: 60.52/60.53 = 3 ~ 5 kBps 60.50 = ~20kBps using his fixed ip a/c, 60.51, speed = 150+kBps, stable (my dslam here is capped @ 1.5mb & i get 80% of it, so this means 150+ is max speed) Added on May 4, 2009, 9:56 pm QUOTE(leelc99 @ May 4 2009, 09:53 PM) I sincerely hope your ignorance isn't real..This post has been edited by Salamander: May 4 2009, 09:56 PM |
