Hello!
I have Counter-Strike 1.6. When i make new game or trying to connect LAN game or any game, it starts loading and then crashes every time while "parsing game info...". It doesn't say any error message or anything. Just goes to desktop and that's it. I have Direct X 9c and I have tried that Steam stuff but it didn't fix the problem. I have also re-installed the game many times. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me?

I have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete out of it and shut down CS because it's not responding. Then an error message comes out that my half life 2 launcher stopped working. Im on Vista btw and tried running it witn windows XP compatibility. Still doenst work.

Did you try updating your graphic driver?

I don`t even run it in compatibility mode.

What VISTA are you using?

It could be the DEP. That causing the crash.

Just to tumpang thread. May I know why there are still so many ppl here favouring 1.6 over CS source? CS source have better graphics and updates.

Come back to your question, you may check your firewall.. Is the game blocked by your firewall?

1.6 when playing feel different then source.

You compare when walking around. Feel Different.

Graphic is not really important.
I prefer 1.6. Due to all my friend play that. They said that source feel too different.
