I'm using a I7 Imac.
My current ram is 4gb. I'm thinking of upgrading it to 8gb or more.
I usually use it for architecture design. I'm a total noob, therefore I need someone that can install the ram for me.

Is there a good shop in LY that can do that for me? Or do you think it's more worth it to let Machine handles it.

1. you missed out an important step.
go check the sofware you use, does it support > 4 GB RAM. if it doesn't, you'll have additional RAM that's just sitting there doing nothing.

2. if your Mac is under warranty, do remember that the additional RAM has separate warranty. If you buy from shop in LY... get them to install it & test. there's no guarantee that it will work fine.
buying from Machines or any other Apple Premium Reseller will have a 'it just works' guarantee smile.gif

Thank you so much for the valueable infos:)!!!!
I'm usually using Vectorworks, Autocad, sketch up,photoshop, rendering softwares and occasional video softwares. I think it supports > 4gb ram :/
