KVR = Kingston Value Ram (standard available RAM that supports almost all notebooks in market)
KTA = Kingston Technology Apple (officially supports Apple notebooks with Apple certification)

Best way is to bring your Mac to the shop, test run to ensure it is working well before leaving / paying. That's what I did when I upgraded the RAM on my 2009 MBP previously.
