I'm going to get one MBP unibody 13inch with the lowest spec and plan to upgrade the RAM and HDD myself later. I have a few questions need to ask.
1st question:
Seeing most of the ppl here still struggling on which RAM to buy for upgrade, perhaps maybe I should straight upgrade to 2x2GB RAM right from Apple store? I'm buying using educational price so the upgrade of the RAM cost RM323 and they are Apple certified RAM. However, I would really like to hear the opinions of all Mac experts here
2nd question:
For the HDD, I read some review (I remember is from macperformanceguide.com but duno which section d) saying that the overall performance of Hitachi Travelstar 5K500.B is better than WD 500GB Scropio Blue (no offence to those who are using WD
3rd question:
Also, it seems like upgrading the RAM and HDD myself will not void the warranty from Apple right? Do I need to keep the original RAM and HDD then swap them back to my MBP when I send back to Apple for warranty claim?
4th question:
Regarding ACPP, I'm abit confuse about the years of warranty it provides. Is it total of 3 years from the date I purchase (1yr without ACPP plus 2yrs with ACPP) or total of 4 years from the date i purchase (1yr without ACPP plus additional 3yrs with ACPP)?
Thanks all experts here
