somehow i find this thread much useful. but the thing is, i just need more courage to find the right rams to put into my new mac mini..
its quite sluggish when i open aperture and some other apps..garageband..

does it void the warranty?its not am i right?

its quite expensive if buying the original apple ram..i found out that Kingston is more reliable..maybe we can use it..no failure yet on this rams.

now im planning to build a DIY storage..like putting 3 slots off hdd into 1.and make it RAID..possible or not?

will do some upgrades next month. this month off budget aldy...got convocation bla bla bla..next month salary for sure will grab 8gb rams..

hehehe..Drobo just the chassis itself.am i correct..but you can always put your hdd inside..3.5 size..if you got money, buy it..i dont, plan to build one..hahaha

To all bros.. last night i had my mini upgraded to 8gb.. i bought the KVR one..tortured it with memtest..sleep and everything goes smoothly as for now..hopefully it will last..

as for the VRAM wise, it was changed from 288 to 512..now i can use aperture without sluggish anymore..before this it is sluggish like hell..now not anymore..

anyone who dont give it a try yet, please do so..i bought mine at 64 for 4gb..

i bought it at Viewnet..all other shops are selling at 69..hehe..price wise dude.
i always find a cheap one..
better hurry if you want to buy it..afraid the price will goes up again as i asked the salesman about the price yesterday..hehe

you can try Kingston if want a cheapo one..or Corsair..

please take note that..KVR rams doesnt work as same like the ram manufactured for apple..the response is slightly slower.. i did on my new model mac mini..and i notice its slightly slower to respond.

if comparing to the value of money, it is still acceptable.
cheap ram but slow performance.

bro..im using KVR 1333 4gb x2.
seems like it quite slow responding..i open application like excel ot aperture, it takes some time to load..no like quick enough although using 8gb ram..

what happened do you think in my situation?
