Hi all.
Need some help. Just bought the new MBP with lion pre installed and I want to upgrade my hdd to ssd. Since the new MBP didn't come with any installation dvd, I wonder how do i upgrade my hdd and keeping my existing OS? Can i just back up to time machine and then copy everything to the freshly installed ssd? Cheers.

Cheers man. Would you mind sharing which SSD model do you use? Thinking of getting one this month cause I feel the need for speed. smile.gif

Wow, that data doubler is 3x the price you could get from the ebay. But I guess it worth to go for a branded one ..

Yeah a tad expensive but they are giving it for half the price if u bundled it with ssd.I guess that is not too bad. Btw, anyone here ever do SPAN on their drive? Need some insight on the performance. Thx.

yeah. almost half the price (for the data doubler). I think they have a promotion or something. You can check it at the macsales. There are few bundle i.e ssd+data bundler, ssd+casing, ssd+datadoubler+ external optical drive enclosure
