I have searched entire lowyat and also wikipedia for the type of pillow available at market but the search are abandoned with only few information about it so I believed experience and knowledge from forum are need for this.

I'm currently searching for comfort pillow but before that I need to know some info about it because salesgirl at supermarket tell me different story about it.

Material for pillow that I have seen in the market :-

- Durofil
- Goose Feather
- Microfiber
- Micro gel
- Latex
- Those therapeutic pillow

Brands That I have searched before

- Dorma
- Friven
- Akemi
- Aussino
- Getha
- Dunlopillo

As for the material used and the brand, this pillow prices are different, so I would like to ask who know about it, please come share your experience here. I want to know what the different of those materials too.

Will keep an eye on this thread cos ALL the pillows I ever had became flatten after a few months use vmad.gif

I'm looking for some durable pillow that the shape and quality does not easily changed.

I could disagree on this because currently I'm using goose down pillow. Its become flatten when it reached 2 month times. Some more, the pillow itself are too hot when you are not on aircond.

I have read this advise before I bought my latest feather pillow. Unfortunately our M'sia stores do not accept "Test the pillow at home. Many stores will accept a returned pillow, which allows you to take said pillow home to really see how it performs. Make sure to check the store’s return policy on pillows before trying this. If you sleep well for a couple nights with a single pillow, you’ve found the one." except for Ikea.

Last Sunday I went to Getha at Sunway Pyramid, the salesgril asked me to bought their Latex pillow which guarantee for 5 years. I have made my mind to try this but want to ask advice here first. It cost around 149/piece.

i suggest therapeutic pillow. once u rest your head on it, u will never want to have those conventional pillow any more.

Tempur

i am not using this brand, but i know u can customize the size of the pillow to suit your need, i am talking not just about the thickness, but the length and width as well.

I bought Orthorest brand of bed frame and mattresses (king size), got 4 free therapeutic pillows. The pillow is using the same material as Tempur if i am not wrong. it's very very comfy.

Tempur is more expensive while Orthorest pillow cost about RM200.

I'm using latex brand Getha RM50... good for me and it keeps its shape. Only problem for me is the strong rubber smell when it’s new. Nothing drooling won’t fix tongue.gif

Friven RM35 (during sale) - antibacterial microfibre, it's comfortable, I choose the ones that are full of stuffing so it doesn't loose its shape. Good head support but I primarily prefer latex.

Feathers tend to move to the side and the middle becomes flat (no support), girlfriend uses feathers pillow brand Ikea RM (I dunno).

Dry cleaning probably won't remove the smell because it's doesn't penetrate into the pillow and only cleans the outside.

Usually cheapo pillows the manufacturer didn't wash the feathers properly to remove those waxy coating on feathers. That's why you have the smell sweat.gif

Try down feathers coz IMHO regular feathers tend to poke, Ikea pillow confirm no smell icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm using down goose feather. It smell after 1 month I used it. Why n where do you get Getha Latex at Rm50? Last time I went Getha showroom, they said Rm149. Is latex good to support your neck? Is the pillow will become flatten after sometime?

Tempur are quite well known brand from Germany. But they are too pricey. Latex Tempur would cost you about 700 while the cheapest Tempur is about 400. You can see it at Harvey Norman or Parkson Pavillion.

Most of the 5 Star hotel are using Goose down pillow. I love microfibre pillow because its comfy, soft and bounce. Just got my Dorma Microfibre at Rm169 during Robinsons member sales.

this thread may be old, but since i stumbled upon it doing a search, my recommendation would be a serta memotex pillow.

i've bought many pillows spending a lot of money, and i've even seen tempur pillows which are really tooooo expensive (so cant compare to tempur) but if you dont want to spend too much (it's not really cheap either) get a serta memotex pillow. i got mine from harvey norman for RM269, and I have to say, it's the best investment for my sleep.

unfortunately, recently i did an x-ray and doctor told me i had cervical spondylosis, which caused constant stiff necks and headaches the size of china, so getting the right pillow was really tough. this one guys... highly recommended.

Seems like alot of people are giving negative feedbacks to down feather pillows.

I am using down feather + feather pillow. It was a gift and was from Aussino and I've checked that the price is about RM230 - not too sure.

I experience no foul smell nor feeling any feather poking on my head nor headache/neck pain after sleeping on it for 2 years.

One has to put the pillow under the sun every week and then sort of puff it to get the bounce back into the pillow.

I've even washed it in my washine machine before and dried it under the sun. Every half hour i'll puff it and turn the other side. It dried 100% with no smell at the end of the day. Bringing it to the dry cleaners will actually make the pillow smell like it's 'burnt' due to the dryer being too hot in the machine hence the burnt smell.

call up tune hotel and ask smile.gif? a bit ridiculous but for a good night sleep, why not? right? smile.gif or email their hq smile.gif i also used to open up the pillow case to see the hotel pillow brand smile.gif alternatively, email king koil, they might be able to tell smile.gif

Now I am betting my money on Jean Perry Contour Eco Health Bamboo Memory pillow (9/11cm high). For those who prefer high neck support should opt for the Classic Eco Health Bamboo Memory pillow (14cm high!). My in law tried the one I bought and said it is too low for them and got a smell (I think is bamboo smell which is ok for me). In stead they informed me that they prefer the Akemi Memory pillow I bought some time ago which I found out too high for me.

Anyway, Eco Health pillow is not as cooling as some of the normal polyester fibre pillow you can find in the market.
So decide for yourself cool2.gif as for me the eco health series might not be suitable for some people.

Hi, do you know how much Serene Dunlopillo Latex Pillow?
I got two free Latex Pillows during fair (Shown to me is Contour Latex Pillow, Black Box stated USA, dunnoe what brand), however i got this Serene Dunlopillo Latex Pillow from the shop.

Would like to ask Contour Latex Pillow is better or normal Latex Pillow is better? Which one is more expensive? hehe..........

Thanks
*
Normal / classic pillow is still the best.

Serene pillow is Rm199.

grand atelier - bought 1 2 years back.. until now it's still awesome.. recently bought another one to pair them up.. Never regretted paying the amount of money for this pillow.. I've been changing quite a number of pillows.. from those with latex to memory foam to high quality polyester.. So far this would be the best.

I prefer Dorma - their Royale Gel pillows. Feels like down pillow but without the high cost. I have used one for 7 years now and recently bought four more new ones to replace the old.

Price - 300 each but during sale can get two for 300

Oh yes that's why I like it. When you lie down on it, it sinks like Down pillows to cushion your head and it will rise up like memory foam when you get up. It's not too heavy and feels soft

Most of the pillow will subside after few yrs. Specially the head and nick side. I need it to maintain the shape specially the nick side.

Choosing the right bra, you should look at the size and take into account its further use. Each woman, as I think, should have several variants of bras. They are selected in color and shape for a specific wardrobe item. Of course, there should be a couple of “workhorses” for all occasions. These include the standard bra model in black and white. And now I would like to complement my bra wardrobe with a special orthopedic one, click here what do you think?

Official store usually has higher price than others but no need to worry of fake products, but anyway the link I sent don't think it's fake as well.
Good use or not, I think you need try yourself since others can only provide their own review.
