Seems like my fan stopped spinning ....

Tried removing my battery and hold the power button for 5 sec, seems to do nothing, so can i assume that it is hardware failure?

Put in the Software DVD 1, restart holding "D", and run the test.
If it failed at Fan test then yes, its time to replace your fan.

Yeah send back to me if you can, I won't charge you for the installation, just the fan. Your fan is not in good shape to begin with, that's why it vibrate (uneven rotation).

Wow, that's a great offer....
btw how much is the fan? and just asking do you have the DVD in stock now? (can't make up my mind in between getting a new MBP or stick with this old 1.. grrr)
