is it really worth it to get the applecare protection plan?

That depends which model of Mac. Worthy for most portables model. Most parts are not cheap. Also weight in how long you going to keep the unit.

Your "click" is tapping on the trackpad surface. Not pressing the button.

Any SATA3 2.5" HDD will works. Replacing HDD to HDD won't gain much speed.

Go to your home folder and select all folders then press CMD + i on keyboard. See if you can pin point which folder is the largest. If they are all small, then it very likely be your hidden library folder. Be vary if you messing with library folder, it's hidden for a reason. Good luck.

Check your charger port is clean and have nothing metal stuck on it.
Go to any reseller or friend with a Mac, just plug in another charger to confirm there's nothing wrong with your Mac.

You need a new charger. And replace the blown fuse before you use on the new charger.

My macbook show battery need replacement now and at the same time the macbook become quite lag in term of response of opening apps scrolling opening folder etc. does this battery problem cause this? Btw i am using the macbook when its plugged in with charger. Still lag
*
That is normal if your model is 2011 and newer. That is to prevent your Mac drawing too much power from the charger and damaged it. There are many article about this online.

Hi! I am using Macbook pro 13 inch, late 2011, OS X Yosemite.
I have decided to sell my Macbook and i am not sure how to permanently delete photos from the Photos app. Instead of format the laptop, any alternate option? Kindly advice.

Create a new admin user account at System Preferences > Accounts. Logout your old account. Login to new admin account. At the same System Preferences section. Delete your old user account. Remember choose not to archive. And ensure you have backup all your stuff.

Data you stored on the root directory on the HDD, you have to remove them manually.

my MBP right click isn't working very well , sometimes have to press hard. so i guess nothing can be done?
*
That depends what model. Older model have only one physical button in the middle. Try to adjust your click closer to middle it should work. Else a take apart cleaning and adjustment for the trackpad are needed.

My MBP 2012's trackpad goes cuckoo all the time, had to disable and use magic mouse instead. Is it a wiring problem?

Can't tell without taking the unit apart for check and test.

Hi guys,

I have a late 2009 27in iMac and the graphics card has gone kaput. Is it worthwhile to replace the graphics card and how much will it cost? Or is it better to just buy something new. Thanks.
*
Worthwhile or not is a very subjective question. For repair, you have to weight in other components' age and lifespan.
To buy new, you looking at RM7.6k min for new 27-inch iMac. For sure, if budget not a question, it's always good to get a new replacement.

I read somewhere that if our iphone screen got big scratch (read:retak), there is a chemical that can help repair it.

Should be cheaper option than replacing the screen right?
*
Hi, this topic are meant for Mac, you should get better reply at the iPhone section.

Hello all,

i have issue with my Macbook Pro retina 13inch 2014
i've upgraded my Macbook to the current version and then recently only i noticed my serial number "unavailable".. i cant connect to Facetime/imessage but works fine on icloud and itunes..

Anybody have ever encounter this issue? is this hardware related issue? my unit already out of warranty

thank you
*
Usually this issue only affect units that have logic board replaced. Try doing the basic troubleshooting, like reset SMC and PRAM.

You will need to visit a Apple Authorised Service Centre to get them rewrite the serial number back to the board. Or you can make an appointment with us.
