QUOTE(mattkhoo87 @ Aug 22 2009, 12:04 PM) i did buy an original battery(2nd hand one) and the same problem occured.. so i brought my macbook to mac city to check, they said the wire connection from the battery connector to the logic board is burnt... and they quoted me a price to repair which cost up to RM1700+.. anyone has any thoughts? of course i told them not to repair it cos i might as well buy a new macbook if i were to repair it at that price.. The damage might already been done the moment you put in the "OEM" battery. So put in a ori battery later on wont solve anything.

Hi guys, my Blackbook's (2006) battery seems to have "curved" outwards. Is this something normal? I am considering upgrading to a new 13" MBP within the next few days and selling this off, what do you guys suggest I do?

For Intel Macs
Yes , both FireWire and USB CD-ROM/DVD-ROM would work and you're able to boot from it as well

Guys, please help. My Macbook is the White Edition just before Aluminium released. My Mac's fan is so noisy. Plus, my battery icon shows no percentage, or time even though i clicked it. Just an [X]... What does this mean? Besides, when i want to charge, the indicator shows green in color. Which means its fully charged? Is this normal?

It sounds like the battery is gone. You may wanna try to send it to Apple Service Centre or you can always pick up a used battery from LYP.

How old is it? If it is still under warranty, you might get a FOC replacement...

QUOTE(outdoorxplorer @ Sep 12 2009, 05:22 PM) Do you have Apple Care Protection Plan? the AppleCare Protection Plan for notebook computers does not cover batteries that have failed or are exhibiting diminished capacity except when the failure or diminished capacity is the result of a manufacturing defect source > http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.htmlThis post has been edited by preducer: Sep 12 2009, 05:25 PM
