Thanks for sharing. Pulling & pushing the macbook on surface will often cause this. Always practice lifting the unit when you want to move it, even slightest. Else get a casing.
Added on September 22, 2010, 10:42 pmBTW, the falling foot has been happening since the iBook G3 era. Never been cured.

Once you spoken to AppleCare and open a case. All the details you given to AppleCare will be recorded to your case file. And VR Tech will do a followup with the same case#. Do provide the AppleCare case# when you send to them.

@shanecross, Have you try the software update for Magic Mouse (MM)? What setup you using with the MM? My millage with my MM is rather different. Connection drops and lags. I got it solved by using USB Bluetooth dongle rather the internal one. But this should only apply to Mac Pro as I learned. This post has been edited by wei: Nov 16 2010, 01:10 AM

Have you try fresh battery? If the problem persist I think you should call AppleCare, you might need replacement.

@volodstov, few things ask: 1) Did the line appear as soon as the screen turn on? 2) Does the line stay static & doesn't move? 3) Changing screen resolution. Does the line stay?
A few things to try: a) Try with external monitor. Did you see the line on external? b) Do a printscreen, did you see the line on the printed file?
If your answer 1-3 is YES, but NO for a & b, then most likely your LCD have dead line. If your answer 1-3 is NO, but YES for a & b, it's most likely your other hardware is giving the problem. Probably GPU related.

What you should do upon a fresh installation is start Migration Assistant and move your old files over. Then set up a new Time Machine backup, instead of replacing the old one. To continue the old backup, there are specific steps to take: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1307738Else Time Machine will think that you've move on to a new system and start fresh.

That's quite bad, you should be cover for exchange since Apple said the battery will retain 70% up to 1000 charge. Or 70% up to 300 charge for old model. http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html

That is a normal when you inserted a disc. There's a piece of metal bar blocking the slot so you wont mistakenly insert another disc. Sometime the drive will "think" there's a disc and lower the metal bar. But usually a restart or shutdown will fix the problem. If you problem persist, I suggest you call AppleCare and seek their advice.

60˚C is normal for intel Mac. Anything above 75 is consider hot. Dangerous when above 85. Unit will shutdown itself from 90-100 depends on model.
