Hi. I want to get some op. I just bought 4gb Sony mspd from thundermatch at shah alam, a big shop outlet, reputable like all it. But the mspd is act fake after I read from eBay how to identify fake mspd . So a reputable shop freely sell fake to consumers? Do I need to report? Where?

how much they are selling??maybe they even don't know it's a fake MSPD..do u have a proof it was bought at their shop?if yes then go for a refund

yea, bawak facts mcm tu rasanya dapat jer since dorang branded shop. mana nak risk bad repu, nak2 kalau kementerian raid outlet bawak bekotak2 kuar sita mcm tu je depan customer. haha, but who know some seller a just plain ignorance tot all their product came from a decent supplier etc.. but in this kind of economy now who noes somebody just might cut corner for better money.. good luck la for u.

rm65..what do u expect?
we do know a lot of shops in lyp is selling fake mspd..
what u pay is what u get.most importantly the shop will honour the warranty.
if u wanna super duper confirm ori,buy at sony center for peace of mind.

RM65 for a mspd that normally costs RM200++...of course it's a fake (I prefer the term replica ). Unless their store policy clearly states that they do not sell replica items, then I don't see much you can do about it.

Did u ask the sales person it's ori or not?

For that kind of price,something is wrong.U should aware bout that.

if someone has the knowledge of current MSPD pricing, then he can consider the price before buying to decide whether its fake or not. IF he knows. Read : IF.

If he doesnt know, he may believe its the original current pricing. If u say its unlikely that price is for 4gb MSPD and illogical, try looking at microSD prices currently. U can get easily 4gb for way below rm50. The buyer may draw parallels with these 2 memory card formats/pricing and assume its around the right price range.

So the above arguments that put the buyer at fault is invalid. The seller is at fault.

To TS, if u wanna save time and have enough proof, just claim for refund. To be sure, bring it to a Sony Center and ask the supervisor there whether it is fake or not.
