We were playing with 10 men all night long. Carrick went missing in this game. Only Fletcher works his sock out. Deserves to start the next game.

When will Rafael be back? Evans could miss the Sunderland game.

QUOTE(eXyzt @ Apr 8 2009, 10:38 AM) I am asking how is Rafael status now. In fact, I asked whether we should play Fabio as RB instead. Don't get confuse with the twin QUOTE(kikurazz @ Apr 8 2009, 10:39 AM) i'm slow poked but i still feel the need to rant before it wrecks my workday Yeah, disappointed with Carrick. He has been in poor form since our home game against Inter. Most disappointing player on pitch - Carrick IMHO. To me, he just wasn't on - both offensively or defensively. Nuff said, back to work |

QUOTE(alien2003 @ Apr 8 2009, 11:11 AM) This is actually another thing that I want to discuss as well. Is it just me or Evra has been sort of below par in terms of performance lately? This morning, he was nowhere to be seen in the LB area when Porto attack and Evans actually had to move over to cover the area? I disagree that Evra is below par. Yes, the crosses that resulted Villa and Porto goals were from his side. But the LW has to be faulted as well for not helping him, for not tracked back. On 2 occasions, Evans tried to help Evra and left the penalty box short of defenders. Easy chance for Villa and Porto strikers. If you notice, Evra went to the central midfield a few times spraying passes around. What should be the task of Carrick and Scholes. |

I think last night match doesn't suit Carrick + Scholes combo. The Porto players have pace and play fast football and our midfield combo really lack behind.

Fletcher is one of the better player last night. Should start alongside Giggs in central midfield this weekend.

I bet Sunderland will cross every ball they can to their strikers to head. Evans could miss this game and Rio, Rafael and Brown are not ready to play

I can't go because no money to buy air ticket
The debt is worrying. Gate revenue increased and we made profit on transfer but still recorded a loss Probably the next measure is to trim the squad. This post has been edited by MyDevil: Apr 10 2009, 04:17 AM |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Apr 10 2009, 10:43 AM) VDS VDSEcklersley Vida Oshea Evra Park Fletcher Carrick Nani Ronaldo Tevez Eckersley because it's Sunderland and Neville has played 180 minutes in too short space a time. Park to protect Eckersley and Nani to play because he's Nani. Gary - Vidic - O'Shea - Evra Nani - Fletcher - Giggs - Ronaldo Macheda RB, no choice but Gary. He didn't start against Porto. Ronaldo and Tevez upfront doesn't click for me. Would rather have Giggs there. |

No news on Anderson return. I think he is still injured.
Below is from redcafe QUOTE INJURIES Ferdinand, Anderson, Berbatov and Evans are all out for the Sunderland match. Rafael and Brown are back in training. Rafael may make the Sunderland match - more likely will be available for Porto/Everton away. Brown is being eased back so expect him to be available in a couple of weeks. QUOTE(tchiaming @ Apr 10 2009, 02:41 PM) i still think macheda is an overhype. no doubt he scored a fantastic goal against villa. I have seen some videos of him and he looks good. He has that Berbatov soft touches. Good control of the ball.but to be a goodfootballer, it's more than that. that why SAF said that macheda must keep his feet on his ground after he scored the goal. i'm sure SAF knows best of his ability and when to use him.
