I am finishing up my CAT in this Dec sitting. I would like to ask which lecturers are recommended for ACCA in Penang ? I only see mostly KL colleges in the thread

anyone knows the high score for CAT's June 2009 sitting for paper t6-t10 ? my college high scorers got about low-80s for t7-t10 ,75 for T6. Just curious

For T1 and T2 , it is quite basic accounting stuff, so if you have taken accounting before, shouldn't really be a problem. Unless you are aiming for 98-100 marks , just listen in class, do all the exercises and a pass is guaranteed . As for T5, it is mainly a theory paper , so you will need to memorise more. However, it is possible to spot topics as some are hot topics while others won't be repeated

I took CAT there, the lecturers were quite good and helpful. I was in the January intake, so my class only had 5 students, and the lecturers were able to guide us personally.

i meant Sentral. I considered Disted before too, but i think among the 3, Disted is the lowest ranked and is the most expensive. You can always pm me for more info.

1. TARC is pretty cheap, i think they provide 100% scholarship if you get 10As, or something like that. I am from Penang, i can see that the quality of students in Penang TARC leaves much to be desired.

2.I don't think they provide PTPTN loan for CAT and ACCA courses, i emailed PTPTN and they said they only provide for diploma and degree course. CAT and ACCA are considered as professional courses.

3.Do not worry, i took CAT last year with no prior experience in accounting at all, it is not going to be a problem.

thestar and sinchew offers scholarship for CAT and ACCA, you can find them in their respective papers. AFAIK, Sentral also offers a 30% discount on tuition fees as long as you get a certain number of As.

yes i think so. But you can only apply for that after your SPM results though.
