I am finishing up my CAT in this Dec sitting. I would like to ask which lecturers are recommended for ACCA in Penang ? I only see mostly KL colleges in the thread

QUOTE(Georgina @ Jan 9 2010, 09:43 PM) For T1 and T2 , it is quite basic accounting stuff, so if you have taken accounting before, shouldn't really be a problem. Unless you are aiming for 98-100 marks , just listen in class, do all the exercises and a pass is guaranteed . As for T5, it is mainly a theory paper , so you will need to memorise more. However, it is possible to spot topics as some are hot topics while others won't be repeated |

QUOTE(starz92 @ Jan 19 2010, 02:46 PM) I took CAT there, the lecturers were quite good and helpful. I was in the January intake, so my class only had 5 students, and the lecturers were able to guide us personally.Added on January 19, 2010, 2:55 pm QUOTE(~Mew~ @ Jan 19 2010, 11:20 AM) hi there, i am taking f4 at Sentral too. i meant Sentral. I considered Disted before too, but i think among the 3, Disted is the lowest ranked and is the most expensive. You can always pm me for more info.

QUOTE(emilydufleng @ Jan 20 2010, 11:00 PM) hi newbie here. want to get some info for my daugther who wants to take CAT. 1. TARC is pretty cheap, i think they provide 100% scholarship if you get 10As, or something like that. I am from Penang, i can see that the quality of students in Penang TARC leaves much to be desired.want to know the whole fees from CAT to ACCA in sunway college and also tarc. how much difference? for sunway or tarc can my daughter apply ptptn loan? or any place offers ACCA and CAT too? can i know the price? my daugther does not have any knowledge in accounting as she nvr take that subject in spm. can she catch up wif the existing students? hope you all give me complete info. from a worrying mother 2.I don't think they provide PTPTN loan for CAT and ACCA courses, i emailed PTPTN and they said they only provide for diploma and degree course. CAT and ACCA are considered as professional courses. 3.Do not worry, i took CAT last year with no prior experience in accounting at all, it is not going to be a problem. |

QUOTE(starz92 @ Jan 21 2010, 11:20 PM) Diploma in accounting+Advance diploma followed by ACCA in TARC will take 5 years right? How much is the estimated price for that? thestar and sinchew offers scholarship for CAT and ACCA, you can find them in their respective papers. AFAIK, Sentral also offers a 30% discount on tuition fees as long as you get a certain number of As.thanks Added on January 21, 2010, 11:54 pmHi again, anyone here can suggest me for scholarship and loan that will be available for CAT and ACCA courses? Most scholarship state diploma/degree in accounting but how about CAT and ACCA? PTPTN loan does not offer for these courses right? |
