Anyone other than me find that Kaplan books are a bit hard to read? I find their contents (experience based on P1, P3, P5 and P7) are really not systematically arranged, and they really love beating around the bush. Not to mention I hate their indexing the most. Their index is just a list of pages which those words appear.
Speaking of method of answering, I follow this classic system, which is time management based on marks allocation, e.g. 50 marks I made sure that I only allocate 1.5 hours for that question, if not yet finish I move on to the next question. Usually when I stuck at a question also I'll immediately move on to the next question because I can't afford to waste time on those uncertain areas when I can gain 'easy' marks on the other questions. Once I have completed those easy questions, I finally move back to those questions which I had difficulty earlier.
A bit radical and unsystematic, but works for me.
well if you ask me i agree with you . lecturers class notes are the best and we use the recommended text books for reference only .Speaking of method of answering, I follow this classic system, which is time management based on marks allocation, e.g. 50 marks I made sure that I only allocate 1.5 hours for that question, if not yet finish I move on to the next question. Dr Tee used to teach in Sunway if I'm not wrong. Had a fallout with Mr Teo and went to KSA. Most of his students at Sunway went to KSA for that term to continue under him.
very unethical i supposeAdded on December 17, 2009, 6:45 pm

I think I can help you on this la.
1) Dr Tee is good in F5. He was one of oldest & experience lecturer in ACCA as Andrew Pang, Low Chin Ann and Chow Kim Tai also his student. If I'm not mistake, Dr Tee will give some extra class one week b4 exam for discussion of exam technique. As I know Dr Tee don't like lazy student. If he know you are lazy, then he will ask you to transfer to other lecturer class.
For Andrew Pang, he is very good & fast technique in calculation, but in theory just so so only. Study under Andrew, you won't have problem in calculation if you can follow his method. In theory part, normally he just explain in simple way or some time just read answer only, so you need to read more yourself.
2) No choice lo, you either go Alan Yeo(Kasturi) or Low Chin Ann (Kolej Bandar)
3) If you are 1st term student, then you will get free Kaplan FTC textbook, except for F6 where you will get Alan Yeo Malaysian Taxation textbook. But all these textbook is Kasturi photocopy one, not the original buy from Kaplan (Don't worry, Kasturi already get copy right from Kaplan, 100% legal, haha)
licence to photocopy . wow first time hearing it . or is it licence to print ? any way Kaplan is a good book for reference1) Dr Tee is good in F5.
