calculation paper is easier to score for its workings, not the answer. P2 examiner does not award any marks for your answers. if your answer is wrong, no marks are credited to your paper, at least the workings are still giving you marks. but theory papers, as you said are so subjective, you can still score at least a few marks. but if you dun study, either calculation or theory papers still drag u to hell la. haha.

p2 oni consists of 35 marks for calculation, between, you need to write a lot of brief explanation for each adjustment you have done. if you dun write anything, fail.
section B, almost theory questions, if you oni attempt the calculation part but forgo the theory part, fail.

but ar.. F8 & 9 still failed.. maybe i concentrated too much on P2 last sem..

i dun think u will believe my sentence, in fact i oni attempted about 70-75 marks in the exam!!!
the 2 questions - Group question and IAS 19, i did them in full, but ar, comes to question 3, i oni attempt 5-6 marks oni..

sure, why not?? there comes the luck..
but reli, i spent most of my times in study P2..
i m not very clever.. the 1st time i attempt, oni 44.. swt.. i studied the whole syllabus for about 4 times! but still failed!!
then last sitting, i juz go through some very important topics. (but better not to do like tis la..)
i think i get my marks from q1 n q4 la.. haha..
i oso cant believe in myself..
for my f8 9, i tried all my best d, still failed..
anyway, i will try my best for my coming sitting!! F8 9 P3/P1, GOGOGO!!!

lol.. i think the examiner is quite lenient lo..
attempt 75 marks to score 51 marks? kao.. i m goin to tell tis to Ms Menon.. she will kill me off!! wahahaha..
but most of my frens failed tis paper..

dun think about it.. it wont help u pass, unless a very "weird" situation, the examiner will only consider to remark your exam script..

of cos menon's class is stress, but what she did for us is for our own good.
and i admit, menon is the best P2 lecturer in malaysia.

besides rely on lecturer, u need to spend more time in this paper.

but i dun think you can pass p2 if you study on your own as current issues are keep updating and IASs are revised almost every sitting..
like june 2009, menon said FULL GW will not come out in this sitting, but it did appear.. aiks.. luckily i still remember the format..
also, i never expect IAS 19 will come out as a current issue in last sitting.. i was so surprise that it did came out because i studied IAS 19 as the last chapter in the morning before go for exam.. lol..

i think this article is no longer valid lo..
since ACCA is prevailing across the world, i dun think ACCA admin will do the remarks for the failed papers..
if they do so, i think tis affect ACCA's market..

you can still go for P1 class, but you cant register exam for P1 if you dun sit for F8 & 9 exams.

if i scored 49 for p2, i think i will jump down from klcc.. haha..
i think u should not take 3 core papers in this sitting, or why dun u take 2 papers 1st, and then other 3 papers for next sem?
in such a way, u can concentrate much more in the papers you take..
49 marks probably you have made some fundamental errors in your answer..
i m doing p1 tis sitting, hope i can pass in the 1st attempt..

since you were in menon's class last sitting, it is advised better to stick with the same lecturer since you know the way and methods she approaches this paper.
for me, menon is the best p2 lecturer, i dun think i will pass tis paper without her lecture.
