I would go for a lower capacity if given a choice. I can't even use up 2GB on my previous N95 for 2 years of ownership. It depends on yourself but I don't download lots of movies/music so storage isn't a concern for me most of the time.

Applications doesn't take that much of space compared to songs/movies/photos. Besides, I always remove things I don't need (to make it clean) so at the end of the day, I still don't use lots of space smile.gif Currently I've used only 700MB but we'll see how it goes biggrin.gif

you are quite wrong dude...

for my case 90% of my capacity was installed with applications and games , a lot of my games are 60-80MB and above for each game or application... i already mentioned in my earlier post , my iphone only games and applications , around 500mb songs , no movie ... 16gb left 7gb ++ only...

therefore 8gb definitely not enough for me  tongue.gif

No, you're totally wrong instead smile.gif Why?

1. My point is strictly related to how I use my phone and not yours or anyone else.
2. Purpose of TS raising this thread is to find out people's opinion on whether what is their preference and are there any regrets for users which bought 8GB instead of 16GB (which in my case no regrets).
3. I know some people likes to install all sorts of games, songs and movie. These are all personal preference but for me, I will play my PSP or Wii or PC if I want to game. I only keep a few simple games for amusement on the phone, that's about it.
4. How many applications do we install on the phone? Well, this is another subjective point. Some people enjoy installing all sorts of stuffs but I don't because I can't use all of them. If a person only uses less than 10 applications in a PC, I don't understand how he/she can utilize 30-40 applications on the phone but ok, that's his/her choice.

Lastly, I don't understand why are you correcting me because everyone uses their phone differently rolleyes.gif

The fact is, we don't even use up to 10-15 apps on the PC so I've no idea how people could use up to 40-60 on an iPhone smile.gif For me, I'll just keep things I use and remove all others.

if ur on maxis data package, its better to keep ur 3g on at all times rite. but dat runs down d batt. so ur not really usin ur 3g to its full potential.

Actually you can turn it off (it'll automatically switch to Edge) but when you want to download your mails, surf the net, etc then have 3G on. Having 3G all the time really drains off the battery life sad.gif

It doesn't behave that way apparently. Even on my old N95, having 3G turned on would drain more battery. What you can do is full charge the phone, on the first time turn on 3G whole day to see how long it last and the next time, turn it off.

I've tried it out and having 3G on would make me charge my phone every night without fail or I would run out of battery the next day smile.gif

I have SBSettings installed so it's easy for me to toggle 3G, WIFI on/off biggrin.gif You should get that app too (provided you JB your iPhone).

I guess they need to improve their quality control since our iPhones are "Made in China" smile.gif

@clawhammer,
I'm not sure if ALL of Mac products are made in China, but definitely a lot of them are tongue.gif  Am sure there's high QC biggrin.gif

Also, thank God, I haven't had any such reported problems with my iPhone Black biggrin.gif

My black is working fine too but perhaps if it's black in colour, hairline crack is not so visible.
