BTW, does anyone encounter Garmin auto shut-off during navigating using landscape mode?? In potrait mode no problem but once on landscape..7 re-calculation happened...Garmin MXT auto shut down

BTW, for tracklogs recording, and for those knowing how to activate it using Garmin MXT, let me recommend you Race Chrono...fanstastic software which will not freeze Garmin MXT during multi-tasking between both software. Using Nokia sport tracker will freeze either software.

Reason for using race chrono is due to it's superior data logging function & able to create "Golden tracklogs" standard...compare to the lousy recording via Garmin MXT

The virus infected MFM1.54 really so bad....probably the host MMU server infected 1st?

Yesterday the whole MFM forum kena spams..for few moment really like a porn forum!!

I hv SMSed Antyong but he's currently in Taipei. Asked me to PM OngCC (Alternate Admin of MFM) & check the problem....Taikor not around, so many attacks after he left y'day

Latest: After reading http://antyong.net/?p=825 & also latest development in MFM, seems that OngCC was the one releasing the maps & not Antyong...Well his 1st..so probably bugs here & there...

By default, all Nokia bulit in GPS will be wth 'Assited GPS" enabled. & yes, u will incur gprs/edge/3G charges but very minimal.

To switch off The Assisted function (Which will slow down abit of acquisition timing), goto:

setting>>Phone>>Application setting>>Positioning>>positioning methods>>Unclicked "Assisted GPS"

Nokia maps Navigation system need to subscribe mah..It cost me RM40/mth when I first try it last year. If u no need the navigation system, the maps is FOC using the Nokia Map loader program. However the maps is pretty outdated! Lotsa new roads in Klang Valley completed years ago but not updated!!. However, their secondary arteries roads, roads surrounding flats, roads inside factories are more complete than malfreemaps/malsingmaps! - However if us witch to hybrid & satelite view...u will also kena 3G/edge rate!!

Garmin..u buy the software online or get it from any phone retailer..I think ~RM120 only for license Garmin. Thereafter..Everything from satellite& the frequent maps updates from malfreemaps & not so frequent malsingmaps...are FREE.

Google maps pretty detail because they get their maps from a local suppliers (Mapit & teleatlas) & either one of this supplier copied lotsa maps from malsingmaps too!! (Not all)

However....unless u are having unlimited 3G,gprs/edge, try not to switch on google maps....pokai-loh...furthermore the navigation function for Malaysia & Singapore yet to be implemented although u can simulate routes...(Not sure now?)

Your problem using Garmin has nothing to do wth the Tube. It's the version of the malsingmaps or Malfreemaps that u install in the Garmin. Certain version esp malsingmaps & also few errorneously version of malfreemaps cannot search! Even the latest malfreemaps V1.54 having problem till the solution rectified on Monday & mapper releasing V1.54a. Do check you version.

That arrow can be easily change by going to Tools>Setting> Map>Vehicle & choose either arrow, 3d arrow, car or SUV...again nothing to do wth the TUBE

More like posible bugs found & they are pulling back..One forumer that hv tested saying WIFI problem?

Those guys are forfeiting their warranty & changing their product code using another software called NSS (Nokia service suite or something..)....If u are willing to do that, go ahead

BTW, as someone reporting that V21 has been pulled back, I was wondering what's the reason...bugs? Someone reported earlier, Wifi or Satelite acquisition slower....
