QUOTE(icechiller555 @ Apr 13 2009, 07:26 PM) Hey bro, Map that I have says that it is 03/2009, and is up to date but I have only tested around my area in Penang and things are available along with POI with phone numbers. The problem with the map not being displayed: You create a folder in the maps directory called MYS and place the mys.pak (map file) into that folder. Also you need a specific sygicmobile.mlm file. I don't know if I can include the files here. For everyone else who does not know what I am talking about, here is a pic of the new gps software that I installed today: Sygic Mobile 7.71. It is an alternative to garmin and the graphics seems nice with zooming in and out and you can choose alternate routes unlike garmin xt. p/s: tachlio, maybe you can include something about it on the fp, like a guide or something if possible Interface is very clean and graphics look good looking good

Added on April 14, 2009, 12:01 amand do you guys turn off the screen auto-rotate feature?

QUOTE(kowkl @ Apr 14 2009, 09:02 AM) Hi Guys & all new Tube owners, I'm looking into getting one for myself. I've been browsing back the last 10 pages and can't seem to find the latest price. Can anyone advice ? I've been to Carrefour and a dealer offer me RM1,350 for ori and RM 1,150 for AP. Any comment ? Not sure what other accessorries that comes with it. He say definately no Garmin software. All help appreciated. Tks. you can do garmin on your own. Save some money there besides...there are other GPS softwares around. If you really look through the last 10-15 pages...there should be two good recommendations

I'm not happy with the normal Skool screen protector. Really a lot of fingerprints =.= If I want to change to the anti-fingerprint one how ar? Need to peel off the normal one or can just put over the normal protector? I scared if put over the normal one...might affect the touch screen sensitivity.

I guess what he means is the silicon is so thick that you'll feel like you're pressing an 'underground' button...instead of something that's supposed to be bulging upwards. For example...take a look at your power button and camera button

QUOTE(Xcraft @ Apr 16 2009, 10:57 PM) not smuggled, rampasan dr pihak kastam... isn't it the same thing? Sellers smuggle in products to sell, customs confiscate...then customs become the 'sellers' by taking these things and sell to others? why bother confiscating in the first place??

is there any risk in installing application into the tube? Like installing freeware in our computers...some may crash and cause errors, some after uninstalling will still have traces of the errors...

QUOTE(J-Slade @ Apr 17 2009, 12:30 AM) So far I haven't faced any such problems because before I install I will always wait for other feedbacks 1st But anyway yes Symbian does leave some files behind for poorly coded softwares... but for most of them, the uninstallation is pretty clean. And btw, the Symbian community are very careful when they release an app. Because they will want their app to be as less buggy as possible. SO no worries trying out 3rd party apps. But dont simply install junk that you don't need la. Btw, if you find that your space on your phone/memory card is getting clogged up from files left behind from apps you uninstalled, you can use Y-Browser to delete these files... they're pretty easy to spot. oh good, coz I'm just sick and tired of freewares (and non-freewares) clogging up my computer. These are always impossible to fix without reformatting. basically I just need to look out for apps released by symbian community rather than solo programmers? and feedback?

how long do you guys normally take to find a good reception with garmin? without AGPS? mine takes forever...but if I turn AGPS on...its really fast. for AGPS, the data charges are for as long as you use or just to find the satelite?
