Hi, everyone ^^, I would like to get some advice from your guys. I am going to japan during october for 1 month, backpacking, total 3 persons.
Planning to visit major cities in Japan, from Osaka all the way to Sapporo if possible.
I wanted to know how much should i bring? Should i get Jr pass? How do i find value for money hotel or maybe a small room for my visit on each location for 3 ppls Is it easy for me to find washing facilities around japan since I dont think I have 1 month of cloth supply? What type of cloth should i wear during my visit?
Hmm.. thats all for now, thanks alot^^

QUOTE(PsyCHZZZ @ Oct 6 2009, 09:53 AM) Congratulations! Anyway, I would advice you to change your money in Malaysia and bring Yen instead because 1. RM is not really a widely acceptable cash. 2. There's not much money changer around and imagine the hassle if you run out of cash and need to find a money changer. 3. The rates will almost certainly be lower than what you'll get in Malaysia so it's not worth it (and worse still as now yen is strong). So, bring along your credit card (as it's widely accepted here in almost all stores) and have Japanese Yen with you. I wouldn't really bother about bringing a lot of RM with me cause of the reason I mentioned above. Thank for the reply, i am not thinking of bringing any RM. I mean, how much RM should i change to yen to bring to japan, i lazy convert back to RM if u all tell me in YEN haha

QUOTE(PsyCHZZZ @ Oct 6 2009, 04:15 PM) Quick question before I give my opinion - your RM4k cash (approx 100,000 JPY based on current exchange rate); what do you plan to cover based on this? I'm guessing that you'll be paying for the larger items such as accommodation and shinkansen/air ticket by credit card. Is that correct? Absolutely correct^^ all the money will go to transport ,accommodation and food as priority This post has been edited by yoko: Oct 7 2009, 02:59 AM

QUOTE(aichiban @ Oct 7 2009, 08:06 AM) Sweat He is asking wat portion is used by cc, wat portion is used by cash... Anything that can use CC use CC, or if cash finsihed, use CC to withdraw cash. Basically, all mixed, there is no allocated portion.

QUOTE(hye @ Oct 14 2009, 10:31 PM) Guys ... correct me if I'm wrong but if you are a tourist you are close to impossible to obtain a Japanese mobile number. What about mobile Internet (or anything similar)? Basically if the hotel provide for free then that's fine but I remember some hotel charges you for Internet connectivity. It'll be great if can obtain Internet on the go. I heard can, wat i gonna do is buy a jap phone there cheap one with prepaid card. Correct me if I am wrong
