I got a question here:

I'm going to Japan next month but I need to keep my mobile phone online internet to do my important stuff.

I heard that Japan are using 4G technology rather than 3G or HSDPA on mobile phone. Normally I'm using my mobile to online internet but I think if I'm in Japan I can't do that anymore because of the roaming internet tremendous charges unless I found WIFI nearby. But if without WIFI, I totally cannot online. Do you got any idea how can I do online internet on my mobile phone? If I buy the prepaid card there, can it be activate the internet service using on my 3G phone? And how much the cost there for a prepaid card?

Appreciated much that you can help me to solve this problem above, thank you!

I think you might want to check this out then -
http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/serv...ist/svc_19.html

They do rental for mobile phones but they also provide mobile data communication service rental as well.
Hope it helps.
Thanx for the info. Between, you know how much approximately for the cost of a prepaid card?

I can't answer you on the recommendation of toy stalls near your hotel because I'm not a toy person but for your second question - Shibuya is not walking distance to Akihabara and it'll take around 26min of train ride from Shibuya sta to Akihabara sta (JR Yamanote line).

Cool~ enjoy the snow man. smile.gif

Here's some that I can think of (sorry, some suggestion for food is for non-muslim only as it's not halal) -
1. Go to the Sapporo JR Tower observation deck. You can get a great view of Sapporo and it's surrounding mountains on a clear day. If it's snowing, then don't bother cause visibility will be low but they'll have video feeds to show you how the view will be like from the ticket counter.

2. Take a stroll around Odori Park. This is where the Sapporo Snow Festival will be held and I think you'll see them start stocking mountains of snow in preparation for it. Better to go night time when the illumination & lighting is on as well as you can see a nice backdrop of the Sapporo Tower all light up.

3. Visit Susukino area (entertainment district) and also check out the Ramen Alley nearby for some Sapporo Ramen.

4. Check out the Beer Museum for free beer samples and also Kirin Beer Garden for some Genghis Khan (hot plate grilled mutton) and of course beer. They have all-you-can-eat & drink packages which is great if you're going with a few friends.

5. More info here ... http://www.welcome.city.sapporo.jp/english/index.html

i guess japanese since young are instilled a good sense of good hygiene. If you've been to their onsen, u will notice how well the japanese scrub themselves head to toe before going into the public bath/onsen. They seems to spend so much time, just scrubbing themselves clean. I believe it is a good training since young to instill a good sense of hygiene. So naturally, when they use toilet, they will be more civilised. Malaysian have much to learn from such good hygiene habits.

Yes, i agree with that.

JAL need hired Tony Fenandes became they advisor.....LOL

ANA will be taking over JAL...became Japan Aviation Flag Ship Company
.....lucky I Did't became JAL workers..if not i sure will kena pecat soon

JAL can't really do budget airline, as i know their domestic flight more expensive than international flight, because of their high living cost. They want to attract more tourist to Japan, so international line will be cheaper but adjust the domestic flight to higher price to control their profit/loss.

Added on January 13, 2010, 9:36 amI just back from Sapporo, I thought the weather really that bad but actually not so bad, it was a nice view to see the snow dropping and the weather maintain between 2c to -5c. It was really an amazing trip, I'll visit again.

My family and I are going to Japan mainland, Hokkaido and Japan mainland which one is better ? Anyone got experience going to these two places ? CANT wait to visit Japan, Why can't sakura just come next week, then can go almost immediately kekeke tongue.gif ...

If you want fresh air, fresh foods, natural scene, definitely Hokkaido. Singapore can't really compare to Japan, Japan considered as a very developed country like USA. Japan govt take care of their ppl, places, and so on on every single section that many developed countries can't really follow their steps.

My tour to Hokkaido was Apple company too, the tour guide called Kenro was quite good in his experience to take care for the whole trip.
