sakura will be still there but the beautiful ones most probably would drop off by that time. There are many types of sakura. Some will last a few weeks and some only days. If u want to see beautiful ones, maybe travel north to Sendai because that is the time period for Tohoku region.

Maybe its Ume(plum). They look like sakura and pink in color. Now is Ume blooming season. Still too cold for sakura.

Added on February 22, 2010, 12:49 pmI dunno lor..but just now when on my home...did ask the ojichan takushi driver...'that pink colour is it sakura?' and he look on the pink flower...replied 'yes, its sakura...this year quit early even not yet finish the winter'..huhuhu doesnt matter as long I feel so beautiful the flower hehehe!
