depends...

1) LAN or Wifi
2) PC Spec (MKV files will rock your processor. P4 can take up 100%)
3) Codec Settings

Cheers

Oooo, no wonder, I used Core Duo, (2007) , my streaming bit lagged and stuck.

Should upgrade my PC will solve the problem ?

I'm streaming from my eeePC 701 (celeron 900mhz) to slim. Only wish it has more horsepower to speed up the transcoding.

I'm using belkin's Wireless G router... the lowest spec of all sweat.gif
Just wondering if it helps smoothen the streaming if I were to upgrade to a better router say wireless N?

I know my current LAN could go up to 54 MB and wireless N could go up to 300 MB... just wondering if any forumer tried upgrading their router and does it helps icon_rolleyes.gif

shindenv: Dont know dude... problems will only surface when you play high def files. If its AVI or WMA dont think its a problem on standard router.

Thanks,

That's quite true... well my wireless G router is now faulty so have to drive to puchong to redeem the warranty or see how... currently already used wired connection on my PS3 but sometimes it does lag when I play those high def files sweat.gif

it will be slow, but you can pause the video and let it buffer so you can enjoy smoother video.

actually wired connection is already sufficient to do the job, i think some of the stuttering problem is from the software itself hmm.gif

now i use the new beta version and sometime i play video halfway then it play at hyper speed, and the timeline keep decreasing, while the audio is playing like normal doh.gif

yes, mkv. but even the normal 720p in avi files stutter when subtitles are loaded. Connected wireless. Default settings on the latest PMS.
