would like to hear whats you experience in playing online games via P1
what game you are playing and do you feel any lag while playing?
if you use/used other ISP like streamyx before then hows the experience comparing p1 with another ISP while playing online games?

for me streamyx is much faster compare to P1...

P1 playing games very laggy somehow! plus they having downloadin quantity throttling which is so call their "Fair Usage Policy".

Streamyx only downloadin slow but for playing like WoW ... juz nice!

Not a good idea, at night the speed very slow, high ms in game, dc, login problem, hang plus die, and etc. It’s terrible.
They recommended me to play at working hour to get away from the congested. (play at working hour?)
5pm start till morning 3am don’t use. Good for those who no work and no study and have a lot free time gamer to subscribe it.
If you are thinking after work or after study and you need refreshment or enjoy your game. That’s terrible.

Game Letency:
Streamyx 100ms
P1 WiMAX 400ms

Depends on your location...

For me in Alor Star P1 works fine. I could play Killzone 2 (PS3) from 6pm to midnite non stop without any DC or hang as opposed to Tmnet users who seldom could maintain a good connection.

That correct, all of us should move to HUTAN to play game..... no ppl no lag..... move to hutan
As, Alor Setar, the population of user very small...
How Big Alor Setar?
Did Alor Setar all people house Have computer?
My Home town Alor Setar too, KL user will be more then a small town...
KL 80% of all resident have computer, that more then 50% having internet access.
Population KL vs Alor Setar?
Langkawi speed is the best... i try it b4 no ppl no congrested. use as fast as u can, move to hutan or move to island.

If that so, if wanted to use their service, move your house to no ppl place, even if you move near basestation also no use, network congrested.
That right, move your house to no congrestred place in order to use P1 WiMAX.
no idea how much speed can support by the basestation, furthermore how much speed to the internatiol connection, furthermore P1 connection to streamyx also got rounting problem at their backbone

Dude, I really don't know what's your problem.

The person asked for opinion, I gave him mine, and I clearly stated "depends on your location".

I don't understand why you have to be all emotional and start the "hutan" rambling all of a sudden.

There's no sense in having a forum with people like you.

That's it, not gonna reply anymore in this thread.

Wireless will always have bad latency and multiplied by the amount of other subscribers fighting for bandwidth at the local transmission tower.

Latency is horrible with P1. It depends entirely on the feng shui of your location, time of day and # of subscribers online atm.

Beta testing Battlefield: Heroes. No problem playing. No lag, however with minimal disconnections.

As dc is a no-no in online gaming, I'd give 7.5/10 for those dc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, believe that NAT 2/3 is dependent on the ports you forward instead of the latency? Weird thing was, was playing SF4 on PS3 with NAT3 and was unable to join/to b joined for online matches, however, when challengers connect up while u r playing in arcade mode, it works fine...... no disconnection nor lag......... strange......

yeah, i agree, depends on your location too.

Play l4d, though i am using celcom wireless broadband. I guess it is the characteristic of a wireless broadband to have above 200+, which to me, when playing l4d still playable and no lag whatsoever. Only once in a while, there will be a spike of 1500ms for few secs after joining a game, then it will slowly go down to 1000+ 700+ 500+ and 200+ (takes few seconds). Ive seen ppl with 500+ and 1000+ with no lag at all

Anyway, i ve got a friend who is using P1, and he always have 200+ with 2bar playing l4d. No lag whatsoever, forget to ask which area he is staying though.

better to try if your area is ok b4 subscribing

it all depending on how intense the communication between the game client and the server. having 500+ till 1000+ with ping is consider lag already... but weather it's lag or not, like i said it all depending... for e.g. you are a warrior/tanker (high defense) and you melee most of the time.. having even 1500+ ms you still won't die lol... BUT if you are an archer or mage (with less defence and rely on your skill/power/distance) with even 500+ ms ping.. it will kill you !! 1 sec you screen freeze or not respond.. next thing u know is you are kissing the floor tasting the dirt ;p

and yes.. i know it all depending on the area you are playing as well... some area has high density of online users using the service will tends to have lots of lags compared to low density area.

what I'm trying to gather info here is to see the average ping from using wimax.

anyhow.. thank for those to provide the ping info on this thread. really appreciated it biggrin.gif
