third party = any brand that makes accessories for another brand.

so any accessory created for apple products by another company (including belkin), that makes it a 3rd party accessory. only apple-branded accessory is not 3rd party

my point was not all 3rd party are bad. there are good 3rd party brands and also crap 3rd party ones

Belkin should be a better brand, but there are too many fake Belkin out there too. Just becareful.
