Let me start with my case description..

i'm using celcom broadband..and want to share with my gf..we are studying in a same college and stayed in one area of hostel but in a different blocks (ofcourse biggrin.gif biggrin.gif )..but seems like the management blocks this kind of connection..as I ping her ip..and get no response..and vice versa..

ouh..forgot to mention that..we use LAN network provided by the college to share the internet..and ping test was done..

we trying to share the internet via lite proxy server(LPS) program with myself as the host..but as pinging shown we can't connect to each other..thus LPS cant function at all..

so any sifoo can teach me? i thought using hamachi can to breakthrough the "blocking2" ..isn't?? or is there any other program that u can help me? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Let me get it straight:

1. You and your gf are on the same Local Area network?

2. You get no reply when you ping your gf, but can she ping you?

3. If there is no internet connection involved, why did they provide you a Local Area Network in the first place?

1-yes

2-she cant ping me also

3-Internet via LAN they provide too slow..thus we want to connect to each other via LAN and using the broadband simultaneously..

i try with my rummet, as we are in the same block..thus can share the broadband excellently..but different block cant..thus any tunneling from her laptop to my laptop {host} will solve this??

So your question was how to ping your gf computer or how to share a different broadband connection that is not connected to your campus network?
