Dont be dense. With the iPhone, it is not just about the hardware, but a lot hinges on the whole experience, namely the multitouch experience and the OSX underpinings. You can have Quadcore processor running at 5GHz, but if you slap on Windows Mobile on top of that specs, the whole miserable experiences will follow.

I'm not saying that hardware specs is not important, but if the accompanying software and operating system does not compliment that specsheet, you might as well throw everything down the toilet and flush it.

he is saying you can slap whatever os on the phone but if the end user experince is not friendly ,then it defeats the purpose no matter the hardware spec

true true.. i love the iphone because of it's UI. Easy to navigate and use. But then again we shouldn't forget that there are many smart people out there. Who knows? Maybe another company will come up with something more creative. haha.

well.. yeah I totally agree with stringfellows point. If you have an ugly looking car, no matter how good the engine is.. its still going to suck lol

now I would like to ask has anyone tried the android OS before? good news is its Linux based =) so no M$ bugs there hehe...
and some of you know linux is a highly customizable piece of neat software.. so there's bound to be some development to fight the UI of the iphone
ma..

No doubt I do experience lots of probs with WM.. it hangs, it lags.. etc. I wish m$ could've been a proactive like the boys at apple.
anyhow, I'm still going to leave some room of optimism for other manufacturers.. I dare them to beat the iphone.. tongue.gif

Looks like TS dont realy know what is NVIDIA Tegra APX.......

You realy need some icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Its not a phone. Its a mobile processor which will be featured in future smart phones. The first NVIDIA Tegra APX-based devices are expected to begin shipping in mid-2009.

Next time don't simply post what you see. Try to read and understand whats the content of the source. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

well i can tell you once manufacturers start embedding these apx jems in their new products.. its will look like an awesome gaming console with phone functions! wink.gif I wonder how its going to compete against psphone(if this one ever launches)

now i wish sony had thought of an embedded network chip for the psp so that we could make phone calls while enjoying a game lol! i mean whats so difficult in doing that right? hehe.. all wishfull thinking.. PSPhone

that product is universal.

depends on the company to use WM / Android or Apple iphone OS

conclusion,if u want to make anything, eg,portable games / hp / small pc,
you can use their hardware solution, thus, OS up 2 u

For those who don't really know

Its not a product , its more of a platform. Its how nVidia used to make motherboard chipset (i.e nForce series). They are just offering the technology. This can be used by HTC to come up with a new product which runs Windows Mobile with nVidia's stuff

Think of it as a chipset (platform ie AMD780 , Intel 965 , etc)
