wana get for gaming and movies...

both are 42" and full hd and same price range arnd rm3100 - rm3400...

if there is other better choices arnd this price range do recommend ...

i feel that rv500e is somehow more soft when playing dvd, when i standing in front judging them side by side thru same source of dvd. at the same time got many other brand(all 42") tv also, but feel that the best is philips 5403S-series, true! but philips price is slightly higher.

Panasonic 42LZ80MK, because it is cheaper (RM3100) with 3 years warranty and I am using it, haha =)

Its been 2 weeks with my 42RV500E (RM3,200), and I am very happy with it. The Astro video quality is good (my main use for this tv) using the supplied S Video Cable. Plasma off course is better on Astro, but the DVD video quality is definitely better on LCD. I sit approx 9 - 10 ft distance.

I have auditioned many plasma/LCD before buying and my from my experience, I discovered that the best judge of all is your own eyes . Dont scrutineer the tv pictures 'to death' ie focussing on the objects/images in minute detail. In normal watching, you are probably watching a programme with a story and your attention is dispersed. The picture quality should appear as natural and smooth as posssible in terms of color, contrast and motion. I believe, that when you start to appreciate the beauty of the background ie the background scenery , the studio setting and other background, that is when the TV begins to shine as a good performer.

latest pricing I got from a shop in PJ today is RM3000 (cash price)
HN is offering Rm3399 (can pay with credit cards)

Anything else bundled together with HN price tag? Free wall mount maybe? Or the extra $$$ purely for the commission
