Most of the time, I run guitar > GT8 > headphones too.

My first headphones was a TDK MP-100 (RM55 @ Digital Mall). Overall, it performed very very well in all aspects. Transparent, uncoloured sound production, honest sounding. It's broken into 2 now, but I still have it. Too 'sayang' to dump in the dustbin. Still using it once in a while, only when using my net-lappy.

When I went to the same place looking for a replacement, the shop keeper told me that they ran out of stock and maybe TDK is coming up with a new version. Not wanting to wait, I grabbed myself a Philips SHP2000 for about the same price. This one is more comfortable than the TDK coz the whole ears are covered, suitable for prolonged use. But in terms of sound production, I must say the TDK is way way better. It's hard for me to describe it but my ears are spoiled by the honesty of the TDK. I highly recommend the TDK, I can GUARANTEE you that it won't let you down in terms of sound production. And if you take this route, do let me know the place that sells them coz I want one for myself.

If you have the moolah, you might wanna check out brands like Audio Technica, Sennheiser, AKG etc (RM200 & above). And make sure you do some research on which model suits your application most.
