Get an air gauge with you and keep it in the car.
I always set the petrol station air pump to a slight higher pressure, then i gauge with my own pressure gauge. Then adjust manually That's the best way for me. |

QUOTE(caviars @ Jun 8 2009, 03:24 PM) My saga is a M-line auto. Mileage is almost 9K all standard. Wow...Fuel consumption on average is 10km/L on 90% city driving. Not bad eh~ means full tank 40L can get 400KM or so. Consider Not bad at all! How about "Run-in" and the "Break-in" Theory? Which of these you guys use to threat your new babies??? |

Dun tell me that you never, ever stepped on the accelerator
hahaha Kidding kidding Well from what my nooby understanding is... Run in means you season the car slowly and smoothly. Where else Break in means you actually harsh drive your new car so season it. Don't really know how to explain it. So hope sifus here could give some pointers |

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Jun 8 2009, 09:59 PM) Krovaxq Apparently, we shouldn't floor it wor...im driving B-line, so no choice.if i change 14", its a bullshit case.my friends will laugh.haha. Newgen google " new engine break in".basically, drive like u steal the car.rev till red rpm ratio for few times and let the piston sit into their place more smooth.only within the interval of the 1st service and 2nd service. Best way is to do it from around 40KMh to 80KMh :S |

QUOTE(jacktai @ Jun 8 2009, 11:52 PM) Best way to break in your engine is to rev till 3-4k rpm at 1st 200-500km Your FC is not bad! Yours is which model? Auto/Manual? B/M-line?Then after that rev till 5k rpm. But of coz not last for >5 min. If yours is manual then rev it at 2nd Gear and 3rd Gear. Mine engine after break in, the FC seem getting better and better. B4 2000km the best FC is 0.15/km Now I can get average 0.14/km or less. RM30 petrol can go for 220km I can feel the different when you accelerate, then RPM go more faster then b4. |
