i got a question to ask:

heres the case, im using phenom x3 8450, it is not BE, so the cpu multiplier is locked, i can only oc it through the FSB thing, do i need to reduce my FSB:RAM ratio 1st before i proceed to OC the FSB thing?

Yup bro...you can always try the HTT plus Multi combo...

Lower multi with higher HT...you can give a try... wub.gif  thumbup.gif

so i should lower the memory frequency 1st before i proceed with the HT ref clock?

im only using value ram, and i dont want to kill it

i've read the information provided on the front page, thats how i discover that phenom without the BE cant play with the clock multiplier.

BTW, im using AMD phenom x3 8450, MSI K9A2 platinum v2 (790FX,SB600), 4gb kingston 800mhz ddr2, ATI radeon HD4850(HIS, big fan edition).

using 3rd party cooler: cooler master HYPER TX2

im a first timer too.

EDIT: i googled and found the solution, it seems i need to lower the ram divisor 1st, before going into HTT ref clock OC'ing.
i also found out that OC'ing the HTT ref clock is not as good as CPU multiplier OC. better save up for a new BE proc blush.gif
